   We had a final evening in Miami, following a fabulous trip to BVI. We decided to explore Cuban restaurants and lucked into dinner with La Rosa! Fantastic atmosphere; families, couples, groups there celebrating, live music, outstanding menu! The service was amazing, everyone very welcoming and friendly. La Rosa has been serving customers since the late 1960’s, and it’s a do not miss in our opinion!

   We have been going to La Rosa for over 30 years, but had not been there in a long time; a couple of years. The food was good (vaca frita as well as the red snapper) and the service was decent. I don’t like all the changes they’ve made to the menu and the way they’re trying to be some sort of upscale restaurant. They’ve lost the traditional Cuban feel that we loved experiencing when we went there in years past. My wife and I were shocked to not find a Palomilla steak on the menu and no plantain mariquitas!

   This long standing restaurant was near our hotel. We wanted to take advantage of our short stay to get re-introduced to Cuban food. The food was totally satisfying. Tasty, reasonably priced, great service, and very good drinks. Very glad we had a nice, relaxing dinner at La Rosa.

   The food was delicious and the service was fine until the bill came; our waiter tried to charge me 2 times for the dessert (first he said he had not put it in the credit card and came back and I paid him cash because I was not paying attention BUT when he brought me the receipt , I saw that he had charged me for the dessert in the credit card so I requested that he give me my cash back , which he did after I asked. That is no way to treat a client!

   The several times I have been to this restaurant has never disappointed. The food is superb . All the meats are cooked with care and to perfection and the appetizer’s are delicious. Imagine…6 tough-to-please New Yorkers gave it a thumbs up and we’re all very happy. That says it all ! I will always bring my visiting friends and family here.    We flew into Miami for one night and wanted Cuban cuisine- and not touristy. The oxtail dish was amazing -the pork dish - delish - all of the sides were so tasty (mashed potato, rice and beans, cassava, maduras). We even had dessert - the flan was out of this world - we will be back!

    Very nice within your budget restaurant. I ordered a pina colada and it was the tastiest Pina I have EVER had! The fried snapper was very fresh and tasty. The flan presentation was video worthy. The caesar salad was prepared in a way I had never seen before. ( Sorry.No pic) i ordered oxtails to take home. Would definitely come back here.
