                                                                              The following was taken directly from La Strada's website: "Experience the taste and romance of Italy at La Strada. The beautiful Italian architecture and warm ambiance feel like home. The service and award-winning food are perfect for any size group or occasion". I grew up in Reno. Watched the Carano's build the El Dorado and experienced a first class restaurant in La Strada during the 70s and 80s. Not anymore. Since being acquired by Caesars, La Strada has just turned into another second rate casino restaurant and over priced at that. It is not a "fine dining" establishment. Business casual dress means t-shirts and sweat pants. Management is at fault for letting that slide. Food was average at that. Pasta dishes were nothing to boast about, including their raviolis. Red sauce with meat was meh. Ragu maybe? Could not tell if salmon was "pan seared' or not because of the bland white sauce covering it. Spinach could have passed for thawed, Green Giant from the freezer section. Finished plates stayed on the table way too long and management tried to make up for our special occasion as we were leaving. Based upon our experience at La Strada, you would be better off at Olive Garden. Food, service and atmosphere were all below average.

                                                                              Wonderful ambience, great food. Mushroom ravioli was fabulous! The weight staff, Lina and Jacob did an amazing job. Since this was a birthday occasion, Michael even saying happy birthday in Italian opera style.
