Inspired by the alluring nature of the late 1970’s New York, Lady Blue is an ode to a remarkable decade of transformation. An oft-forgotten character from the Broadway classic, Torch Song Trilogy by Harvey Fierstein, Lady Blue’s combination of seduction and grace narrates the main protagonist’s transitional phases, symbolically encapsulating both the wonders and challenges of life in that era. The ambiance and aesthetic of Lady Blue aim to invoke the nostalgia of a quintessential time period for the Broadway community and our darling city.

I like it here. It’s a great pre-theater stop for cocktails and nibbles without breaking the bank. And yet I feel it’s necessary to repeat what I talked to the manager about. Service staff needs to be trained to look at every table as they pass through a room. This place is not big, and still I’ve had to physically get up and go to a server to ask them to come take our order or bring the check. I find it rather annoying. I’ve spent my like in service. I was proud to make sure everyone was “taken care of”. We need better service. Not just at Lady Blue, but it would be a great place to start.

We usually have a great time going to LB for brunch. This was our first dinner with friends in town for a show, and the service was extremely slow. Perhaps callouts led to the bar and waitstaff being understaffed, but for a Saturday night in midtown, they should've been better prepared. We left feeling a bit disappointed and like we made a bad recommendation to our friends.

Had a nice lunch before seeing an afternoon show. Place was semi-busy but was quiet and the service was good.

Great ambiance, definitely need a reservation. It’s a great hole in the wall to chat and catch up. Service could be better, our waiter wasn’t attentive but it also was extremely busy. I attempted to go back twice and they were jam packed. Drinks were amazing, food was average for the price!

We went for drinks prior to show. Lemoncello was so good! The charcuterie board was a perfect addition.

Definite bang for your buck! The happy hour specials are amazing, the staff was attentive and friendly but not overbearing. Will definitely be back again and again. Looking forward to trying the lemondrop martini.

Great “after Broadway” option. We saw Water for Elephants and made a 10pm reservation. Tapas were delicious and the drinks were great. Only issue is that they didn’t honor the happy hour because out drink order was punched in at 9:55…
