BBQ ALWAYS, LIVE MUSIC OFTEN

Located on the corner of 2nd and Guadalupe Streets in downtown Austin (a block away from Town Lake & Moody Theater), in a historic 1873 Victorian building once home to J.P. Schneider general store, Lamberts features modern Texas classics including expertly smoked barbecue, grilled prime steaks, simple yet elegant apps and mains, and homestyle sides. We are open daily for lunch and dinner.

The two-story dining room features an open kitchen, two bars (with one of the best whiskey selections in town) as well as an outdoor patio surrounding our Mill Scale smoker. The design includes black leather banquettes and repurposed sinker pine table tops. The vibe is laid-back Austin and not afraid to get a little rowdy at times—especially when there's live music Upstairs at Lamberts.

*If booking an outdoor table, please note that patio seating is weather contingent. During those times, we will do our best to accommodate indoor seating depending on availability.

    Join us on Friday, February 14 for a Valentine's Day celebration as we welcome THOMAS CSORBA to the stage to perform classic country love songs and originals. Bring a date, bring friends, bring anyone! Thomas & his band will perform two 60 minute sets with dinner seatings available for each. Guests may reserve tables for groups of 2, 4 or 6 and enjoy full dinner service in an intimate performance setting. Doors will open 5:30pm for the first performance and 8pm for the second show. Note: dinner & drinks are sold separately. Tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final.

    We visited for my brother's birthday and spent around $500 for our group of four (including tip and a donation for the California fires). Unfortunately, the experience was a mix of highs and lows. Our waitress was working incredibly hard, doing her absolute best to keep up, but it was clear the restaurant was severely understaffed. While the hors d'oeuvres came out as expected, it took over an hour to get our dinner order. On top of that, we waited forever for drinks from the bar, which added to the frustration. The food itself was good, but they were out of mashed potatoes—a key reason we chose this place—which was disappointing. I truly felt bad for the waitress, as she was doing everything in her power to make the night go smoothly, but the overall experience didn’t feel worth the price we paid. It’s tough to justify $500 for a meal that left us waiting and let down.

    We really enjoyed the food at Lambert’s!! The value for your dollar is well worth it. We had the 3 meat sampler, Mac and cheese, and the mashed potatoes. Absolutely incredible. The service was okay!

    The music was too loud to hear the conversation at our table, especially my dad who is in his late 60s who could barely hear a word. The server was kind and allowed us to switch tables further away from the speaker but it was still very loud. We ordered appetizers, three meats, and three sides, but there was not enough food for the four of us. We each only had 4-5 bites of meat so Lamberts is becoming stingy with their portion sizes. I remember having plenty of meat on previous visits to this restaurant, but shrinkflation is unfortunately alive and well at Lambert’s. I’d still recommend, but Lambert’s is too loud for real conversation and we left hungry after spending $300+.

    Our server was fantastic ; excellent meal. Each entree was great, particularly the lamb. Banana pudding is a must !!

    Fantastic experience. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Kitchen kept the plates moving. Great mood lighting in the main dining room and live music above was a bonus. Well curated menu - I could have eaten everything on the menu.

    Had dinner at Lambert's with business associates from out of town and we had an excellent experience! The food was terrific and the service was good.
