Originally founded over twenty years ago, Las Tablas is Chicago's premier Colombian restaurant. Our versatile and award-winning menu has something for all tastes, and our homemade sangria and other Latin cocktails are sure to delight your palate. Our signature house dish is the 'entraña' skirt steak, and was named 'Best Skirt Steak in the U.S.' by national food program 'America's Best Bites'. Try it alone or pair it with any number of choices including grilled chicken breast, grilled tiger shrimp, grilled pork loin, or several other choices. If you're feeling more adventurous and hungry, try our version of Colombia's national dish, the Bandeja Paisa (see photos). And for those not feeling so carnivorous, we also offer vegetarian options. The food was fantastic. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. Service was a little slow but it didn't take away from a great experience over all.

Open table allowed us to make a reservation at 8:45pm but when we arrived we pretty much were told kitchen was closing so we needed to hurry up and pick our food or for us to basically leave. We chose to sit and eat but some of the options we wanted they didn't want to serve us because it would take to long to cook. It was an absolutely horrible experience to feel rushed and to have our food overcooked when we asked for medium rare steaks. I did not notice they closed at 9 if not I wouldn't have made reservations. We shouldn't have been given an option so late to make us feel horrible by the staff that we were showing up when they were trying to go home. Will never come here again.

The service was horrible. We didn’t get helped when we walked in, they stared at us standing at the booth. When my fiancé went and asked was someone going to help us, the older gentleman with the white hair basically fanned him away with no answer. When we finally sat down the waitress gave us menus and when we were about to ask her a question she walked off to help another table and never came back. She was fixing their drinks and everything. Then while sitting there we noticed other people coming in and the older gentleman from earlier ran to greet the people and sat them immediately with menus. So instantly I felt uncomfortable because I felt racial profiled. We were the only blacks in the restaurant and the people that came in after us were white. We didn’t get to order or even get a drink of water. We just left because after watching the man help the next 3 groups after us with no problem and our waitress never coming back to the table, we figured the experience could only get worse before getting better. I will not recommend this establishment at all.

I booked restaurant reservation for 11:30am and arrived around 11:15 they were closed so i wasnt able to have try there food and it was my first time coming. They need to update their time with open table so people dont have to make blank trips when hungry.

I live in Milwaukee and drive all the way here if I want to impress a lady friend. Always worth the drive.

Always a great meal. Tried the shrimp this time and they were phenomenal! Music was the perfect background noise level and always creates a wonderful ambiance.
