LaSalle Kitchen & Tavern is located on the Third Floor of LaSalle Grill. Join us, Pull up a chair and take your time to review our drinks menu. This could take a while, since we offer 120 whiskeys and scotches, dozens of craft brews, wines, and craft cocktails. Our selection is unparalleled, so tap into our staff’s expertise to help you choose. Settle in for some civilized refreshment and a break from the ordinary.
You probably noticed that this isn’t a brand-new building. That’s no coincidence. In fact, our twenty-first-century establishment is housed in the oldest commercial structure in South Bend, built in 1868 as the Second St. Joseph Hotel. No fake historical patina here–like everything we do, this is the genuine article.
At LaSalle Kitchen Tavern we take food and drink service seriously so you can keep the focus on what matters: relaxing with friends over drinks and a meal.

Especially excellent service at La Salle. We had duck tacos and burgers which were excellent. Interesting selection of brews and fun casual atmosphere. We will be back!

Brand new waitress (not 21 yet) who didn’t know bar had draught micro-brews, which is what we wanted (they were not on menu). Salty food. Why not let customers add their own salt to taste? Three of 4 orders wrong: she said chips came w/burgers & fries were $3 or so extra, so we said give us the chips & ordered poutine for table for our French fry fix. But burgers & grilled cheese came w/fries anyway & we were charged extra for 3 servings. Confusing. Couldn’t find her to discuss extras on bill + 91 yr old dad needed to get out of there so just left cash (& generous tip, even though…) & left. Musician was excellent!!! A manager who helped w/something early on was personable.

The Brussel sprouts were great, but it went downhill from there. It took ~20 minutes to get our second round of drinks. The burger was over cooked and the Ceasar salad was a half salad at best. Likely won’t go back.

Our server was absolutely terrific. However, we waited 1 hr 15 min for our meals after we ordered them. We typically enjoy a well-paced dining experience. However, that amount of time was excessive. In view of the long wait with nothing but a simple apology, we will likely not return.

LKT has upped its game with this meal. I’ve been disappointed in the past as it has seemed as if they couldn’t figure out a good menu, but tonight the food was great and the live music was a nice bonus.

Wow!! 🎶 I’m one of the band members in The Sound Gypsies who played there. It was a great night playing at Lasalle Kitchen and Tavern last night! The staff there, service, food and drinks were incredible. Everyone at LKT staff made us, our friends and family feel so welcome! Thank you so much for having us play at such a great venue. It was packed with not an empty seat to be found. Amazing night of music and fun shared with everyone!🎸🍷🎶
