I had lunch here with a friend, who was very impressed with the grand surroundings. We both ordered the same things, coq au vin and lemon tart, both of which represented good value for money. The service was friendly and efficient. This is a good choice for visitors to city centre tourist attractions.

This was a return visit to Le Bistrot. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious, but it was let down by the chosen dessert which had been chilled to the point of being largely inedible. The staff responded very efficiently and professionally when the problem was highlighted, however, when they advised us that they were already aware of this issue, we were surprised that nothing had been done previously to rectify it. It slightly marred what would have otherwise been a 5* experience. We look forward to returning in the future

My husband and son took me for Mother’s Day! What a little hidden gem. The starter portions were great, and mains were delicious. Didn’t have any desserts as we were too full! We will be back next time to the desserts too. Think I’ve found one of my new favourites!

This is a brilliant restaurant with amazing food. The portions are very generous. It has a very nice atmosphere. The service was excellent with the food coming quickly after ordering.

The service was superb. They were very attentive. The food was amazing especially when considering the value. Some of the best coq au vin I’ve ever had.

I took my partner out for his birthday. I found the Service to be good bit if you expecting a romantic ambiance then this is not the place for you as the lighting was very bright. The service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. Both starters great both main courses ok. deserts lovely.

From start to finish we had a lovely experience. The two young ladies who looked after us were so warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. We had starters of King prawns and coquilles St Jacques which were delicious. The home made bread was very tasty and was replenished. We both had the duck with orange sauce. It melted in your mouth. The accompanying vegetable platter was very tasty. We had olives as an appetiser and the portion size was great. Dessert was also thoroughly enjoyable. Fantastic value. Thank you again to our servers.
