Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

Everytime I have been here we always have an amazing experience. We always order something from the off menu list and it is always 10/10!! Last night we ordered the special redfish over red pepper risotto… I mean I have no words for it. Absolutely incredible. We are going to start coming here at least once a month. By far my favorite restaurant in Houston!

Everything was wonderful! The food was perfect. Drinks were a bit slow, and that is not good for the restaurant. The noise level was surprisingly not loud!

The broiled seafood platter did not taste fresh. Small portion with a big price on the avocado and crab appetizer. The burger was the best dish any of us had at a seafood restaurant. Disappointing for our holiday meal.

This is. It our first experience with liberty kitchen. Today on our visit the main complaint would be the service. I think it was due to not enough staff, but it really decreased the enjoyment of the evening. Also tried the 16 slice tuna mignon and will not get it again, i was expecting a lot of flavor but had to ultimately add the liberty sauce for. My daughter’s burger to add flavor. We will see when we go back …… it won’t be for awhile.

The experience was perfect. The menu is creative and the food is delicious. We all were pleased with our meal choice. The wait staff is very attentive and actively checked on us during our visit. We will be returning.

We ate early at Liberty kitchen so it was reasonably quiet. Usually I would order the gumbo which can suffice as a meal, but this time I ordered a tuna poke that was deconstructed with a lot of white rice occupying the center of the plate. It was good and filling, but nothing to write home about. Stick with their gumbo.

Love Liberty Kitchen but was a bit shocked by the price of the "off the menu" seafood guacamole appetizer. It was very tasty but the price was a bit steep!

My group was celebrating the Christmas Holiday. We love Liberty Kitchen. We had a wonderful, attentive server, Karen. She made sure we had everything we needed. Cocktails, appetizers, main course. All served in a timely manner. Great experience. We highly recommend Liberty Kitchen.

We used to love frequenting this place. Food and drinks seem to take longer and longer to receive and doesn’t quite taste as good as it used to.
