Lilac is a modern Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef and California native, John Fraser. Lilac exclusively offers a 4-course prix fixe menu featuring signature elements of Chef Fraser's mastery of Mediterranean cuisine explored through the lens of Floridian coastal produce. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, the dining room’s walnut flooring and the warm glow from the pendant globes create an elevated, convivial space focused around an eight-seat Christian Liaigre chef’s counter in sandblasted walnut and a lively open kitchen. Taking its cues from Fraser’s Greek heritage and his admiration of Turkish cuisine, Lilac’s balanced menu is a celebration of the chef’s vegetable-forward philosophy using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

                                                                              Communication on menu pricing, very poor. Value is non existent. $150 for inconsistency per person is crazy. $75 cancellation unwarranted fora reservation. OpenTable misleading on this restaurant. Staff was nice, they recognized my wife had a gluten free preference and they accommodated her. Main reason I didn’t complain. The presentation of the food was okay. Wine was good. Dessert was okay. Cappuccino was disgusting. Esspresso Martini was solid. Salmon portion was good. Beef tenderloin portion was poor. Part of the beef tenderloin entree was burned and had a bad taste. Octopus was terrible, it seemed like it was served raw. Scallops were good. Milkbread was really good. Rest of menu just felt off. Atmosphere was alright. Overall, I would not visit again. Once I saw this was in the Edition I should have known to leave….

The service and the food were amazing and I greatly appreciated the preparation, presentation, and delightful taste of the 5 course meal we had. They definitely deserve that Michelin award!

                                                                              The best steak I've had all year. The atmosphere and service were a lovely surprise, I was genuinely impressed. The wine pairing was expertly done, and I especially appreciated how well-prepared they were with non-alcoholic options. Still one of the most competitive restaurant in Florida in my view, meeting expectations overall. Happy new year!

                                                                              The food was beautifully executed, and the service was outstanding. The wait staff was prompt and basically treated everyone like royalty, so that was wonderful. The food was good, but it wasn’t a great, can’t miss, craveable experience, which is what I expected. The ambience, however, left much to be desired. The restaurant occupies part of the hotel lobby, and therefore lacks intimacy. It attempts to create an enclosure with plants and half-walls, but for this price range, I expected it to be separated. Was it a nice date night? Yes. Will I go back again? No.

                                                                              An unforgettable evening belatedly celebrating our anniversary at Tampa’s downtown Michelin-starred gem. The ambiance and service impeccable, and thoughtfully curated wine pairings elevated the already spectacular dishes, creating an indulgent experience. Jessie was our primary server and he was outstanding. I can’t recommend this enough for a celebration dinner. We’ll be back

                                                                              This is a great experience for a date or celebration. Everything we ate was amazing. The duck was the best I have ever had. It's small but has a great vibe and the whole team takes care of you the whole time.I will definitely be back since the menu changes seasonally.
