We have been to Chestnut Hill and other Limani restaurants over the years and generally loved them. This meal was mediocre, at best, with dishes overcooked and dry, portions significantly downsized, bread stale, and generally very disappointing.

Had a wonderful meal at Limani. The ambience is so beautiful, and the food is excellent. We had the limani chips (to die for) and the braised lank shank, both excellent.

The food was great. The service was awful. The waiter was condescending, took forever to bring the bill while being at the bar talking We are not coming back.

The restaurant itself is beautiful. The ambience is great. We had a cocktail at the bar before we sat down for dinner. The drink was delicious. Our bartender.. delightful!!! . Everything on the menu sounded spectacular, but unfortunately, it was not as good as it sounded. The lamb chops were tough and dry. The grilled vegetables were good but not impressive. The mushrooms salad was ok,but a little too soggy. We had the appetizer that was lightly fried zucchini and eggplant. The flavors were ok but felt like it had been fried hours before and then reheated. Other than the mushrooms, everything was a bit dry. The plated presentation was great. I love Mediterranean/Greek food. It’s usually tender with lots of flavors, lemon ,garlic herbs etc. This was a little lacking and it was dry. The restaurant itself is really pretty, the bar is nice and bright with plenty of seats . The main dining area is well lit with soft, ambient, lighting. It was not a busy evening i do not feel like that could be to blame for food prep. It felt like everything had been pre-prepared than reheated. It seems as though a lot of thought went into the decorating & the mood of the restaurant which I think was great, the food choices on the menu were plentiful and it appears as though a lot of thought went into the menu and what they were offering, unfortunately the appetizer, the main meal and the sides did not live up to the intentions of the restaurant . The hostess, bartender and wait staff were spectacular, very professional, very warm and welcoming.

Apps and drinks for the evening - drinks were standard but felt they were overpriced for the size of the cocktails. Boston powerhouse restaurants in the same price range are 50% larger. I never liked mixed drinks served in a glass usually reserved for drinks in the rocks.
