Lisse Steakhuis was established in 2016 and conceptualized as a tribute to owner Hans Philippo’s Holland hometown of Lisse. While holding true to a fairly traditional American steakhouse menu, Lisse highlights the Dutch cuisine authentically by including an array of unique flavors and ingredients in our menu items, and off-menu featured items. Lisse offers seating on all three floors, an outdoor terrace, and Cigar Lounge on the third floor. Outdoor terrace seating is first come first serve only.

Our international wine list is extensive yet well-curated, featuring wines from the world's best winemaking regions and renowned vineyards. As we’re located in the heart of Bourbon Country, our bourbon collection is premium, offering over 100 top-shelf bourbons. Our handcrafted cocktails are rotated seasonally, and elevate the experience of classic cocktails - creating a unique experience where tradition meets modernity. We were late for our reservation, so I called to apologize. They were so gracious and accommodating. The gentleman on the phone said come on in and if we cannot get you a table we will save you seats at the bar, he assured me the bar was very comfortable. We want and he apologized there were no tables but had a set up at the bar ready. Very nice to be treated with kindness.

As always the Lisse Steakhuis staff are outstanding. Literally from the host/hostess, server, bar tender to the busing staff you couldn't get better service. Appetizer: do NOT skip the bread service. Excellent bread choices, whipped butter and a bacon fat compote - Yummy. Shrimp cocktail are large fresh and well chilled. The fritte curry ketchup - divine! Steak: Bone in ribeye is always well spiced and cooked perfectly. (Hubby and I split one.) Shareable sides: do NOT miss the Mac and cheese! We had some version of Spicy Margarita - way, way too spicy for us. Dessert: is the only area in our opinion that could improve. The best of the offerings is Creme Brulee. Which you can get anywhere. To be honest they feed you so well skipping dessert is no big deal. Go here. You won't be sorry, seriously.

This is my second visit. The food has been exceptional and a wonderful break from the typical greater Cincinnati over-the-top steakhouse mafia. The steaks are locally sourced, and both times, they are correct in doneness. The starters and sides are good. The drinks are reasonable in price. Service is prompt but not really NYC steakhouse level. The staff does watch out for each other, and not much is left unnoticed. Prices are reasonable for a steakhouse serving dry-aged food.

It was a great meal! Our server walked us thru the menu and answered all questions. We never felt rushed and able to order and eat at leisure.

Great dinner on NYE! Service was fantastic. Food was excellent— only critique is that our friend who got pork said it was dry. Brisket, steak and lobster were awesome.
