Lisse Steakhuis was established in 2016 and conceptualized as a tribute to owner Hans Philippo’s Holland hometown of Lisse. While holding true to a fairly traditional American steakhouse menu, Lisse highlights the Dutch cuisine authentically by including an array of unique flavors and ingredients in our menu items, and off-menu featured items. Lisse offers seating on all three floors, an outdoor terrace, and Cigar Lounge on the third floor. Outdoor terrace seating is first come first serve only.

Our international wine list is extensive yet well-curated, featuring wines from the world's best winemaking regions and renowned vineyards. As we’re located in the heart of Bourbon Country, our bourbon collection is premium, offering over 100 top-shelf bourbons. The service was extremely slow. I can’t rate the kitchen on it being slow, because I am not sure if that was part of the experience. Our waitress wasn’t seen very often. She was not attentive at all. We all ordered steaks. Filets. A total of three. They were all overcooked. It took so long for the waitress to come back and check on us that we just started eating them instead of waiting. When she eventually came back to the table, I voiced it. At this point, the restaurant was closing. She asked if we would like new steaks. I told her no because we had already been there so long. I told her she could just take mine off the bill and she did. She did make a comment that she came by our table after our food was delivered and asked if everything was OK. We told her yes. But we hadn’t tried our steaks yet. I was a little shocked that she made that comment. It was very disappointing. It was my husband and I and another couple. We went to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We heard so many good things about the restaurant.

Overall the food was good and the location was great. I ate the Salmon and the Steak with my chief complaint being that the steak was a little underwhelming and the Salmon appeared a minute undercooked. I provide a four out of five stars for this reason however service was responsive and a great help. Due to the cold weather I did not get to go to the rooftop.

Early Valentine’s Day dinner with the missus. Really cool location - I like the set up a lot. Food was almost all fantastic. We had the kaassoufle and split a garden salad, both were excellent. My wife had the 6 oz filet medium rare and said it was really good, on par with other top local steak houses. I had the strip medium rare, which was cooked to temp but the crust was a bit overdone (chewy). We shared the hutspot which was surprisingly light and also really good. Finally, a bit of a disappointing bread pudding. Good flavor, but a chewy crust, like it was cooked in a cupcake pan. Overall, really good and I would try again, especially to get some of that filet.

The ambience of the restaurant is very nice and classy and has a comfortable feel to it. It was on the quiet side except for a large group we were seated next to. They have a great wine and bourbon list with classic cocktails to choose from, great to go with a steak. The service was quick and not overwhelming, they had great timing with food orders and did a great job of walking us through their gluten free options (which there are many). We started with a crab cake and the Dutch onion soup, both of which were delicious. We then got the 6 oz and 8 oz filets, one with the mushroom and onion topper and the other with the Oscar topper. These came out in great time and had a fantastic char on the outside, but were slightly undercooked inside. The mushrooms and onions were a great addition to the steak, and the Oscar’s bernaise sauce was amazing. We also had a side of mashed potatoes which were some of the best we’ve had. Overall, service was fantastic, the vibe of the restaurant is great and the food was very good with plenty of gluten free options. Great place for a steak and we would definitely eat there again.

I cant believe it took me 8 years to find this restaurant. The service, Nichole, was awesome. The food was great too. The venue is great! I was shocked when I went upstairs. Can't wait to take my wife to Lisse Steakhuis.

My wife and I dined at Lisse for the first time to celebrate her birthday. I was impressed from the beginning. Our server, Loren, was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu, the origins of the restaurant and the sourcing of the food. We started with a cocktail, my wife, who rarely drinks, had an espresso martini and loved it. I had the Lisse old fashion. My only complaint for the entire evening was I was not impressed with the old fashion. We each had a salad, I chose the wedge salad and it was fantastic. For entrees my wife had the filet & crab cake which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the 8 oz filet medium. Amazing! I would put this steak up against any I’ve had at Ruby’s, Tony’s, Malones or any other high end steak house. We shared a Mac and cheese as our side. Creamy and delicious. Wife and I split their signature dessert the Boterkoek which was served with whipped cream on top. They even wrote Happy Birthday on the edge of the dish which was a nice touch. I wholeheartedly recommend Lisse! I’m disappointed that we hadn’t eaten there before. Enjoy!

Wonderful dining experience! We enjoyed every appetizer o. The menu along with filets and brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious!

The food was amazing. Olivia's recommendations were spot on and she was very attentive without being obsessively so. The noise level on 2nd floor was minimal and it was nice to be in a space where my wife and I could actually converse without shouting.
