For over 40 years, our family has served traditional Cantonese food and dim sum to generations of devoted customers. We’re proud to continue that tradition, while at the same time, making it our own.

For centuries, it has been Chinese custom to pair dim sum’s delicious bite-size dumplings, buns and other small snacks with freshly brewed tea for morning and mid-afternoon meals. This pairing led to the expression “yum cha,” which not only means “to drink tea,” but also symbolizes getting together with friends and family.

At Little Bird, we’re starting our own tradition. We believe that “yum cha” means getting together with friends and family for dim sum at any time. Not just paired with aromatic teas, but also amazing local craft beers and wines.

Talk Sum. Eat Sum. Sip Sum.

    We came an hour earlier than our reservation and the staff kindly accommodated us. Food was delicious and beer was tasty. Restaurant had a chill, positive vibe and staff was friendly. Would definitely come back!

    First time at Little Bird - loved it! This is a true neighbourhood gem - the food was terrific and service was great. We tried a variety of dishes - the baby gai lan, pot stickers, vegetarian shanghai bun, etc, plus the green tea sesame ball which I absolutely loved. The portions are a good size for sharing between two people and the range of flavours between the dishes was wonderful. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back soon.

    Love this restaurant. Food was great today and we did not have to wait long in between courses. Servers were polite and on-top of filling glasses and changing plates for the dessert.

    Was a bit cold But that’s the only thing bad we could say Service was fast, attentive, and very friendly Food was all so so so tasty Great place for a group of friends to share so many dishes Great priced drinks

    A wide variety of excellent dim sim. We enjoyed every dish. When full, it is a very energetic place being so narrow a restaurant. Pretty good service in spite pf how busy it gets…

    Wonderful little spot with great food and attentive staff. Two of us dining came out to less than $50, which is pretty awesome for a quality restaurant in Vancouver. We will be back!

    As an Asian guy, I’ve had my fair share of dim sum, and let me tell you, Little Bird fell a bit short. All the dishes I tried were a bit too bland and lacked that authentic flavor I’m looking for. I ordered 7 dishes, including some recommended ones, but none of them really hit the spot. And don’t even get me started on the tea - it was so weak it tasted like water. The service was great, though, so I guess that’s a plus. But if you’re a true dim sum enthusiast, you might want to look elsewhere.

    The quality of the food does not align with the price. Being a Michelin recommend a restaurant I would expect higher quality of service. When I asked the waiter about their menu, he just pointing out that I can look for the special marking on the menu to determine the recommended dishes.  The only positive comment that I have for this restaurant is they had a table ready and on time for the reservation.
