It is what it is and I should have realised it wasn't what we were after. A bar with food, not a restaurant with a bar. Staff helpful, food decent, however loud music system and layout of the interior didn't enhance our gathering - a retirement get together for a long standing colleague. I take the blame as the Lizard Lounge was everything it tells you it will be!!!!

I've been to the Lizard Lounge countless times over the past three years. Service has always been fantastic and food delicious. Up until recently their drinks have been my favourite! As of a week ago, the restaurant has 'updated' their drink menu to be different than your classic 'juice cocktail bar' as I was told. Unfortunately, the unusual drinks were, simply put, gross. Our group tried 5 different drinks to start and were greatly disappointed. All five drinks were undrinkable. I mentioned this to the manager and he provided me with a free drink which was good but nothing in comparison to the previous cocktail menu. It's a shame that this bar has thrown the baby out with the bath water as they've tried to reimagine their image in the cocktail world. Don't get me wrong though. If you're looking for delicious burgers and wings - head this way! But if you want a satisfying cocktail, you'll have to look elsewhere. I really hope they recognize their mistake with their new menu and bring back their old classics. Until then, I'll have to find another place for happy hour.

A reasonably good place to go for a drink or a meal. Nice décor, warm and inviting, fairly cosy. Though a bit on the expensive side, the food is excellent, selection of cocktails exquisite. My favourite is the quiz night, on every Sunday evening. My least favourite: the music, which is usually too loud.

Fantastic music brilliant DJ on Thursday night go just for the sounds. Cocktails good too.

Fun atmosphere and good music. Steak wasn't all that tender but had a good flavour. Good value with Gourmet society card. Friendly staff and good service.

Pros - Great ambience. Good cocktails. Great Nachos for sharing. Attentive servers (but not informative... read below). Cons - Difficult parking. Servers did not tell us about 2 for £10 cocktails until 8 pm, as much as we were there at 7:45. They got much pricier after that 8 pm....... They also did not tell us that the kitchen closes at 9. So could not get any food.....

We Booked in advance a Table For 7. Food was Lovely but we were forgotten About. We Had To go To the bar And ask for A Waitress To Come To Our Table To Take Our Order For every Course And every round of drinks. our table Wasn't cleared in between Courses We had to clear it ourselves. I had to go to the bar to request the bill and again to pay. we were all squashed around an uncomfortable chair and stools and a small table. was way to hot. No air con. Staff were more concerned with people at the bar area than with us who were eating and spending a lot of money. After this experience I wouldn't Come back here again.
