Lobos is an exciting new tapas bar also focused on prime cuts of Spanish and British meat. Meaning wolvesin Spanish, Lobos offers a short, sharp list of vibrantly authentic, traditional tapas with ingredients sourced locally, evolving seasonally and therefore dishes that will change frequently depending on what is available from the market. Lobos is a real carnivore’s paradise, think perfectly roasted Iberico pork, slow cooked shoulders of lamb and lightly charred, rosy pink bone in rib-eye to share, all presented simply and cooked to perfection, allowing the pristine quality of the offering to shine through. Please note that any reservations not confirmed with the restaurant may be subject to cancellation 24 hours before booking time.

We like thinking out of the plate and that is why we understand what we do in a way that is everything but conventional. We don’t believe in indifference, to be honest, we don’t know how to pronounce it. We rely not on the menu but on tracks of smell, taste and the feeling that comes into play when you let your instincts guide you. Just a matter of attitude.

                                                                            Piccolo locale, abbiamo mangiato su sgabelli con tavolo molto piccolo. Porzioni di cibo minuscole. Un antipasto di salumi (il prosciutto crudo era ben lontano dal buonissimo crudo spagnolo…), una tapas di riso nero, due di carne di maiale e un calice di simil-sangria per un totale di 89 sterline. Sconsigliato.

                                                                            Ci siamo capitati per caso, cercando un ristorante per mangiare tapas. Location molto carina, rumorosa al punto giusto. Staff simpatico, giovane e disponibile. Piatti di tapas veramente buoni (consiglio i gamberi e il polipo, oltre alle immancabili crocchette e i pimiento). Non abbiamo preso la carne, che comunque sembra un pezzo forte della casa, visti i piatti che ci sono passati davanti. I prezzi non sono come in Spagna, chiaramente, e per delle tapas si spende comunque abbastanza. Però si è anche a Londra, in centro vicino a London Bridge, in un quartiere comunque carino che offre anche la possibilità di fare serata nei baretti della zona.

                                                                            My only real complaint is that we sat upstairs (next to the kitchen) and it was too crowded, the tables are far too close to each other! The service was excellent (quick and friendly) and the food was perfectly tasty, no complaints there. The pricing was fine for most of the dishes, with the exception being the octopus in my humble opinion. We had the following: Bread with aioli (£5), mixed olives (£6) croquetas (£9), tortilla (£10), patatas bravas (£8), prawn in garlic (£16), sauteed mixed Mushrooms (£13), octopus leg (£22), which was enough for three people. Add one wound of Sangrias (£9.75 x 3) and a bottle of Tempranillo (£37) so circa £60 per head (with service included).

                                                                            The food, wine & cocktails were yummy. The service was first class & the waitress (I don’t know her name but she’s from the Czech Republic) was so professional & friendly & so helpful.

                                                                            Absolutely nothing to complain about. Every dish for our Sunday lunch was excellent. The best were the octopus tentacle, the black rice and the steak. Good service, busy, good food and drink. Highly recommended.

                                                                            Great service very accommodating especially when you arrive early and booked for the wrong number of people! Food arrived in timely manner, although did question the cost of the lamb rack, expected four or five but it was two small lamb chops ...taste was delicious but not sure it was worth the cost. Will go back again but not order the lamb again🙂
