Lombardi's can trace its history all the way back to the beginning of the 20th century. In 1905, it opened its doors in New York City and became the very first pizzeria in the United States. It is no surprise then that over the course of the next hundred-plus years it has become one of the most highly rated establishments and earned rave reviews for all of its food. Lombardi's truly started the pizzeria craze and one stop will let you see just how and why it has been so successful. The menu at Lombardi's has entrees, such as small and large custom-made pizzas that can be topped with a variety of food. It also has white pizzas and calzones, as well as sides such as fresh salad, meatballs and breadsticks. Fountain drinks and bottled water are available to complement your meal.

                                                              They no longer have big pizzas. And the ones they do have are expensive. The sauce is still great and it’s my favorite pepperoni in the city. I was just sad to see how small the pizzas have become. They held our table for a long time as we waited for one on our party who was delayed by the rain. Very nice of them.

                                                              The oldest pizzeria in NYC, certainly not the best. This pizza is just way too expensive for what you get. The hostess was very friendly, but our waiter wasn't overly friendly. I know it's an "experience", but there are several other pizza spots that are much better.
