In 1585, by order of Queen Elizabeth, Sir Walter Raleigh established the very first European colony in “The New World” right here on Roanoke Island. 3 years later, a resupply ship from England arrived to discover that the colony had vanished. More than 4 centuries later, “ America’s Oldest Mystery” continues to inspire generations of people young and old from across the globe to make the trek to the very site where America was born. By stepping through our doors, you have been transported to another land - a world where the “Lost Colony” never got lost, and instead established a thriving English community right here in the heart of downtown Manteo where it all started back in the Elizabethan era in the late 16th Century. Our menu is comprised of the traditional food, beer + spirits of the BRITISH ISLES - England, Ireland, Scotland + Wales - along with a few Outer Banks favorites featuring fresh local seafood exclusively sourced from the waters surrounding Roanoke Island.

Delayed or no beer served without reminders. Wrong entrees, shells in shrimp entree. Not a good expetience at all.

The staff was very friendly even though we came close to closing. Our waitress was a nice young blond lady that was patient with our order and explained everything we had a question about. Our dishes were perfect from the appetizers to the main course. The scallops and the crab cake are to die for. I highly recommend this place.

Food and beer was excellent. Felt that the server rushed us out of there and brought checks while sone were still eating. After realizing the 20% gratuity already included. Figured server didnt really care since already getting tip. Grest start. Not so good finish.

Yummy restaurant! Even my teenager loved it! Best burger I've ever had and our son had a shrimp and rice meal that he raved about. Husbands steak was VERY tender as well .

Went for dinner, service and food were just OK. Would not go back or recommend for food. However, they have a lovely outside seating area. It was very hot the day we were there and no one was seated outside!

Took the extended family (9 of us - ages 22 to 86 yrs) and everybody enjoyed the food, beer and music. Only complaint is that there were 3 or 4 great sounding beers on the menu that were now "out of season". Need to keep that beer menu updated! The food was well prepared and presented. Everyone got one of the seafood dishes and they were plentiful, fresh and delicious.

Accidently walked in the travia night for my birthday. It was actually quite fun. Especially love the chocolate peanut butter pie. :)
