My husband and I went for the first time last night in Middletown. The food was ok. It really wasn’t like New Orleans style. Some of the flavors were there, but the jumbalaya was over seasoned and very few shrimp etc. Mostly rice and broth. My salmon was over seasoned and the bourbon glaze was like pancake syrup. I hate sharing a review like this, however I feel like a lot of corners were cut and it just didn’t work for us.

Not a fan and I really wanted to like the place. Really enjoyed the downtown location. Service was slow and not very attentive. Didn’t ask to refill my wife’s tea. Kitchen was also slow. Appetizers, Boudin Balls and Kentucky Oysters, were just ok. Boudin was better than the oysters. Something in the flavor profile of the oysters just wasn’t right. Entrees, Cajun seafood and voodoo mahi, didn’t have much flavor. Both needed salt. The mahi was dry. Very loud.

Food was absolutely delicious. The service was very good. I gave it a four instead of a five star because of the noise level. It was definitely the loudest restaurant I’ve visited. A Friday night at 7:15 after everyone else had been drinking for an hour could’ve been a reason, but overall the food makes up for it. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone if you can handle the noise.

Food was awesome and service was great. We tried the boudin balls and they were amazing. The catfish sandwich was great! And the sampler of jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans & rice was perfect. The beignets were pretty good too.

Very enjoyable. Raven our server was attentive but not hovering. The food delicious. As evening progressed, noise level skyrocketed and nothing to absorb noise. Not sure how to fix!!! I will return

My new favorite restaurant in Louisville…I look forward to many more visits eating my way through the menu….so many things I want to try.

The service was slow. Food was also slow coming out. I have eaten there twice before and this time there was something off with the she crab soup. Told the server and she said I will just not charge you for it , no fix. The blue cheese polenta app is always good.

Large portions. Good service. Have been to all 3 locations and prefer Nou Lou locale. Atmosphere more welcoming

You have to go here!!!! The food was amazing!! We went for brunch and there was a lunch menu as well as a brunch menu. Lots of choices for everyone. Server was great, we had my MIL who needs a walker, easy in/out, great handicap access. Thank you, we will be back!!
