                                                                                              We absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was charming, and our waiter, Parker, was not only sweet but also incredibly knowledgeable. We started with Old Fashioneds featuring Habanero Bitters—a creative and delightful twist on a classic cocktail. For appetizers, the Crawfish Bayou Dip was absolutely delicious. The seasonal salad was light, crisp, and the perfect prelude to our entrees. From the Bayou menu, we tried the Jambalaya and the Etouffée, both of which were bursting with flavor and exceeded our expectations. Everything was impeccable, and we can’t wait to return the next time we’re in Louisville!

                                                                                              Very impressed with the food and service at Lou Lou on Market. We had a larger group that was easily accommodated and everyone loved the food and drinks. I’d highly recommend giving it a try.

                                                                                              Service and drinks were good. But the entrees left a lot to be desired. We got the boudin balls for appetizer which were delicious, with authentic Cajun spice and crispy outside. The crab bisque was also good. But the entrees - I got the red beans and rice, which were good, except for the fact that the bread was sourdough or some sort of white bread, instead of cornbread. It was bizarre, and I ended up ordering some hush puppies to get my fix of cornbread I desired (they were yum, but it should’ve came with cornbread in the first place!). The Chicago style pizza was absolutely soaking wet. The bottom crust was fully soft from the juice from the sauce and the taste was not good. When the waiter took it away, he had to be careful not to spill all the juices that were on the pizza pan. The waiter warned us that it would take about 30 minutes for the pizza to cook, which we agreed to. But the wait was not worth it to say the least. My fault for getting pizza at a Cajun restaurant maybe? Or is that how Chicago style pizza usually is? I don’t know, the dish was recommended by staff and on the menu. I don’t think I’d come back to eat here bc it was also pretty expensive for the experience we had.
