A locals favorite in historic craftsman home, with lovely heated/ shaded patios. Lovina is uniquely tip-free; our pricing includes a living wage, 401k with employer match, two weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, and health/ dental insurance benefits for all our hard-working employees! Recognized as "Best of the Best" on Trip Adviser for Vegan/ Gluten-Free options, Lovina also satisfies omnivores with locally famous Bolognese and wild Halibut. Our menu is seasonal and locally sourced. Woman-owned by Calistoga local Jennifer Bennett (previous owner of Zazie restaurant in SF), Lovina is unique & welcoming. We feature Jen's handmade pottery, thrown, glazed, and at her home studio here in Calistoga.

    Important: Lovina's regular menu will NOT be available on this evening! For one night only, we will turn our kitchen over to the creative team of Eiko's Modern Japanese restaurant from Napa & Oxbow Market for a pop-up of Japanese cuisine featuring sustainable fishes and local vegetables! Experiment with sake pairings and Japanese inspired cocktails, as well as local wine pairings. Hosted by three female business owners (Jen of Lovina, Allison of Eiko's, and Jessica of Sake Tengoku), this promises to be a night locals will love. The limited menu will offer à la carte items (not a pre-set menu), but we will require a $25/person deposit to book the reservation.

                                                                  The food presentation was artfully crafted and the flavor was perfect Halibut was off the chart perfectly prepared and served right after the POLENTA BITES : Genius !! Then we had the Bolognese for dessert with a perfect glass of Zinfandel This restaurant is a perfect example of local respect for food and hospitality and people Visit for a meal you will remember

                                                                  Lovina was a wonderful experience. We had the mushroom polenta bites and the bolognese (dirty). Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The portions were large and filling. Go check them out!

                                                                  The amount of vegan options was incredible while also offering several non-vegan options. We had the apple salad and the Almost bolognese and then ordered the snickers bar and the bread pudding. Everything was delicious!

                                                                  Great spot to gather for a weekend brunch/lunch with friends. Everything was excellent and that the tip was built into the food/drink costs, made it easier to split the bill. Definitely recommend!

                                                                  Came in for dinner and it was great! I got the beef cheeks which were very tender, we also tried the gnocchi with chicken, and the pork and beef bolognese. All the dishes I would highly recommend! Great spot

                                                                  Everything about this restaurant is top notch: welcoming manager, attentive and friendly servers and Incredible food. All in a house that reminded me of my own when growing up. Appetizers were great. Our dinners were also delicious. Special note that the wagyu beef cheeks were “out of this world” - as my Dad used to say. The servers are worthy of mentioning again - attentive, polite, and professional. This restaurant is a rare gem. Don’t overlook it if you’re in, or near, Calistoga.
