Lucca Osteria & Bar is the vision of chef and veteran restaurateur, Claudio Ulivieri and his partner Steven Hartenstein. Raised near the Italian city of Lucca, Claudio’s passion for food began. He brought this passion to the States, and started his culinary career as a chef. Now, after decades of creating menus and running restaurants, he and his partner have opened Lucca Osteria - tapping into his roots - to share his favorite rustic Italian flavors with you. Our culinary team — led by Chef Claudio Ulivieri who was born in Lucca, Tuscany — has curated a menu that balances the rustic charm of Tuscan cuisine with the freshness of spring. Think hearty pappardelle with wild boar ragù, crisp spring vegetables and ramps tucked into tender calamari, and a show-stopping filet dressed with whipped lardo and peposo — a rich black pepper sauce born in the heart of Florence. Each course will be paired with exceptional wines from some of Tuscany’s most iconic producers, including Tenuta Nozzole and Tenuta Sette Ponti. Food and service were good and I'd go back. It was loud in there on the Saturday night we were there as they pack tables closer to each other. That's not necessarily good or bad, just be prepared if you go at a time when they are full.

The service was wonderful! The General Manager came to our table and asked our opinion of the service because he believes it's an important part of the experience - love that!

We were there to celebrate a milestone birthday and Deanna took really good care of us. They honored our Open Table request and sat us at a fantastic table. The food was delicious! Great night had by all!

It was our first time at Lucca's Oakbrook, and I have found my new go-to restaurant. The drinks were amazing, and the food was incredible!! We had the charcuterie for an appetizer. It was outstanding. The meats, cheese, and olives were high quality, and even the crustini were warm. Pappardelle pasta was homemade and wonderful. The chocolate lava cake was warm and delicious. The noise level in the dining room was great. I love not having to shout to talk at the dinner table. The bar area is loud, but it's a bar, so you go with it. I can't wait for the summer entertainment and to enjoy the outdoor space.

Lucca Osteria & Bar has become my family FAVORITE Italian restaurant in the western suburbs. It has become a tradition for Easter & Mother’s Day. I may stop by the bar at other times throughout the year. 😂

The Pappardelle Bolognese is amazing. Also, the Dover sole is delicious as well.

Everything we have eaten at Lucca has been delicious. Their preparations and flavors are special. I consider them extremely fine dining. Don't pass up the opportunity to dine with them.

Food tasted great, but the value for the money is pretty poor, although some items on the menu reasonable. Biggest issue was feeling rushed - barely finished the last bite of food for both the appetizer and main course, and the wait staff came to take plates and ask if we wanted the next course. I get it was a holiday (Easter) but for a >$200 bill for 4, expect a higher level of service.
