Distinguished by its kaleidoscope of cultures and flavours and its iconic red light beaming brightly onto one of Melbourne’s backstreet laneways, Lucy Liu Kitchen & Bar is an essential ingredient that has helped to fashion Melbourne’s coveted food identity since 2014.

Blurring the lines between diverse cuisines, the menu serves up both street and refined, modern Asian food that breaks with tradition and has flavour at its core. Executive Chef and co-owner, Zac Cribbes, advocates both Thai and Chinese flavours, both playing a huge role in the bold and enticing menu.

The Lucy Liu experience was created to be fun, exciting and accessible for all. From office workers enjoying a lunch-time get-together, a special occasion celebrated in the private dining room, an intimate dinner-for-two, or a group of friends sharing a table amongst the buzzing crowd, every experience is honed to meet the occasion.

Amazing energy - our waiter was amazing . We had a celiac within our party of guest and the restaurant could not have done enough for us and went over and beyond to be careful, had a separate menu, and announced each dish as they came through. Definitely be back again , the food was devine, perfect and amazing.

I love Lucy Liu - the service is just amazing, quick to respond, friendly staff. No sooner had we got our first drinks and the food was delivered. As always the food was incredible. This has become my number 1 favorite place to dine

Everything was lovely - food delicious Service / outstanding- Holly looked after us perfectly ! However - I made this booking a few months ago online for a friends birthday. Asked Holly our waitress if she could include a candle on our dessert order - she advised no problem . We had a booking at 7:30 and when requested to place the dessert order , we’re told we had 5 minutes to finish our booking duration . Holly was very apologetic and felt terrible for us. The booking was made sometime ago and I didn’t notice there was s 2 hour time slot. Having said that - upon arrival we should’ve been reminded of this and our night would’ve rolled out the way it should’ve- with a complete birthday celebration as planned . Yes we were disappointed as Lucy Liu could do things a little differently so none one else has this experience
