Conceived with legendary chef and food activist Alice Waters and led by acclaimed chef, writer, and cookbook author David Tanis, Lulu is a shared celebration of good food that is good for the planet. Lulu is a restaurant committed to prioritizing sustainability through local, regenerative food and design. Our mission focuses on procuring food directly from small, nearby farms practicing regenerative organic agriculture, which results in wholesome, delicious food grown using methods that combat the climate crisis.

Our restaurant is named after a wise Provencal cook, Lulu Peyraud, whose cooking and hospitality at Domaine Tempier in Bandol, France has always inspired David and Alice.

Rick and I ordered the price fix menu We started with the pear, grape Gorgonzola with pine nut salad, the main was duck( cooked perfectly)with thin potatoes. The dessert was pudding like made with yogurt. Honestly, it was one of the most scrumptious meals ever. My husband even commented on how many yums were coming out of my mouth. The service was very good.

I had the prix fixe menu. Starter (persimmon salad) and the bread was amazing. The main dish was duck/eggplant/turnips on black sesame sauce - the duck and sauce was amazing but in my opinion the eggplant and turnips didn’t go with the duck at all. The eggplant didn’t taste like eggplant and turnip mash would’ve been better than just plain roasted turnips. The drink (persimmon mule) was great as well. Service was amazing - super attentive. One issue I had is that my table was wobbly which was noticeable when I was trying to cut the duck. Pretty good, but I’d probably opt for the a la carte options next time.

There is only one thing to say-this is an outstanding restaurant. We return constantly for the excellent food.

A lovely atrium space in the Hammer museum building, we were so impressed with the ambiance, the service/our server, the menu and the food! Lulu has vegan offerings also. The bread was delicious! Highly recommend.

A lovely dinner in a lovely tranquil setting. Picked it because it had a nice balance of vegetarian friendly mains and delicious steak and chicken. Ambiance was fun but not loud. Perfect for a birthday dinner with some friends

Given the season, I'm taking an extra moment to express my gratitude for Lulu's presence right in the heart of Westwood. Always my "go to" venue for excellent farm to table dining!

The 3 course lunch prix fixe is a good value, although we didn’t do it this time.

Food fabulous as always. Service fine - except when I picked up my salmon sandwich to take a bite there was a bug underneath it - maybe from the sandwich, maybe from the tree above. Told the bartender (brown shirt, poured my glass of wine at the table) and with more than a little snarkiness (no humor) said “Well our food is fresh.” We’ve been to Lulu many times. Service was always friendly and professional… until today.
