Our light and spacious modern restaurant occupies three floors, with an intimate private dining area. We are within walking distance of Verulamium Park, with its Roman remains, and close to the bustling city centre and boutique shops.

Great food and ambience. Only reason service is 4 is because they were a little Short staffed.

The food is usually fantastic but on this occasion I had to send my starter back twice as it wasn’t hot enough. This is a surprise as normally everything is incredible. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone but slightly disappointed this time around.

We had a hugely enjoyable evening at Lussmans with friends. The steak, confit de canard and fish were all delicious. Lovely attentive service

First time at Lussmans. The food and experience was okay. But I did not consider the flavours of the food to be outstanding compared to other similar establishments nearby. I thought it was very expensive for what it was. I am pleased I tried this venue but would not go again. While it was near the Cathedral the view was the shopping precinct. The atmosphere was not what I would consider special. Very modern but plain décor and the atmosphere was lacking. One thing I found surprising is they had wooden salt and pepper pots on the table. One of them had previously been damaged and yet they placed this on the table. For a quality restaurant I would expect better attention to detail.

Mixed opinions with our group - some had good food, some dishes were poor size or quality. Overall, underwhelming. Manager was kind enough when presenting us with the bill and took off a couple items as an apology, very decent.

Lussmann’s was a fantastic experience. The waiters were attentive, the food was fabulous and the general ambience and vibe was fantastic. A perfect time really.

Tom was our server and he was outstanding. Friendly, patient, helpful, informative, engaging but not over powering. We took up the recommendation of the special of chicken in white wine sauce with apple and chestnuts and shared a portion of country vegetables and chips. It was absolutely delicious and arrived very quickly. The portion sizes were ideal and everything arrived hot and well cooked. We were seated upstairs as it was a more relaxed and cosy area with deep green walls and lots of interesting pictures. We decided to have dessert and I can highly recommend the cheesecake. Tom even delivered a complimentary scoop of ice cream as we were celebrating, so very thoughtful. I highly recommend the restaurant.
