The Parlour Tea Room at Mad Dogs and Englishmen provides a vintage setting to enjoy Afternoon tea. We’ve become renowned for our themed teas which offer an unforgettable experience. Enjoy the eclectic surroundings of this unique venue.
The Botanical Rooms is upstairs and hosts our cocktail bar. Here you can experience Afternoon Tea from Wednesday to Sunday during the day and enjoy the fairy-lit bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. We host live Jazz and soul on some evenings.
The Piano Lounge with it's vintage leather sofas and a mixture of eclectic styled furnishings is situated on the ground floor alongside our Whisky Bar. You can enjoy an Afternoon Tea with Piano accompaniment on Sunday afternoons or sample some of our extensive Whisky cocktails on Friday and Saturday evenings. We have live Jazz performances on selected evenings.

    I’ve been to maddogs & Englishman quite a few times over the last year and every single time I go, I have such a brilliant experience with all the different themes that they go for. I’m never disappointed and always thoroughly enjoy it. I think my friend and I will be making a yearly visit!!!

    Delicious food. Great ambience. Deco was fab as usual. Service was wonderful. Absolutely worth the money

    We have been coming here for the themed afternoon tea for quite a number of years and have always given a 5 star review on all points, unfortunately this year we did not feel this was 5 star except for the food. The food was amazing as always but the whole thing felt extremely rushed. We were sat next to a speaker playing music which whilst lovely, it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk. We found decorations for the Snow White afternoon tea to be very lacking in comparison to other themed afternoons. Only saw 1 member of staff dress up also this time. It was definitely lacking something this time unfortunately. It also states on the receipt ‘voluntary service charge’ but when we asked the waitress to take off the service charge we were heavily questioned as to why which was embarrassing to say the least. We have always paid the service charge but on this occasion we did not feel it was appropriate to pay another £26 in service charge.

    What a fabulous experience! Snow White was magical. We were celebrating a 70th birthday and MD&E made the celebration doubly good. The food was absolutely astounding, the ambience and setting was fantastic. I can't say enough good things about the service - nothing was too much trouble. This was our second visit, the first was the Little Mermaid. I would wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful place for afternoon tea.

    Never fail to impress with the all out themed decor and attention to detail. Add to that the lovely food and this is the most wonderful afternoon tea experience

    We had a really amazing experience for my partner's birthday , the staff are attentive warm and friendly and the setting for the nutcracker is beautiful , so pretty and festive , we were like kids when they brought the scones over in an igloo , the attention to detail is amazing and we had a wonderful experience , thank you all was a lovely birthday for him , he never had a proper English afternoon tea and loved it

    Third time I’ve been and never disappointed. The attention to detail is amazing and the food is outstanding. Will definitely be back.

    I went with my granddaughter as a treat, we did Alice in wonderland for her birthday and enjoyed it sooo much we booked nutcracker as our Christmas treat An awful lot of food which is wonderful do pace yourselves. A very special exspiriance The cake we couldn't manage we brought home Lovly
