                                                                          Consistently good food. I dine at Maderas frequently and while service is usually a little lax but friendly, the service at brunch was very inattentive. When I arrived the waiter acknowledged my reservation for 10 for my father’s 91st birthday and said he had our table set up and ready - the table was disheveled and poorly setup. I had a feeling that was a precursor of what was to come in terms of service… and as I write this, I just realized they did nothing to acknowledge his birthday. I really wanted him to try the churros (because they’re the best) but I think the service was so slow and inattentive that everyone was just ready to go, unfortunately.

                                                                          I come here each time I come to Houston. Food is highly flavorful and the cocktails are excellent and innovative. Servers are kind and good people. Vibe varies depending on how full the place is. I always feel welcome as a solo diner.

                                                                          We weren’t really taken care of which is understandable our waiter had a bunch of tables . Then a big table came in and our waiter completely disappeared and we had some other person take care of us . We were there for a birthday and I just was let down with our experience of the service.

                                                                          Flavorful food would be an understatement. Though quite spicy, our meals were loaded with flavor, and exceeded expectations in terms of quality, presentation and authenticity. The cocktails were excellent as well. I will definitely return for another visit.

                                                                          I found this place on yelp, looking for something different and a place in town where my family (many from out of town) could meet for a nice group dinner 12 of us, and something more authentic. I haven’t say, the experience was fantastic! We all loved the food and Mario our waiter was exceptional. The drinks were great too. The ambiance was great and though the place is small with a reservation it was no issue. I highly recommend this place if you want authentic and not boiler plate Mexican food. I will be back again. Can’t say enough good things about Maderas.

                                                                          Food was ok - carne asada tacos were good. chicken enchiladas were ok. shrimp tacos were good. they charged us for a side of beans we never ordered but service was slow so i didn't ask them to take it off. won't go back.
