                                                                                                          We have been coming to Maggiano’s for decades, and have absolutely loved the food and the dinners that you could purchase to take home. When we were seated, one of the guests in our party asked about the meals to take home because they did not see it on the menu and we were informed that they no longer provided that option.  I actually understood why that would happen because of the cost of food these days. But, then we realized that the menu prices had gone up for each item anywhere from $3 to $5 per item. I thought it was unreasonable to pay that much for some things, but what really took me back was when server told us that they no longer provided the dipping oil with herb seasoning for your bread. That is where I draw the line! That is what Maggiano’s is known for and theirs was the best. I know that times are not as easy as they used to be but I think patrons should be informed before they sit down and order. The food that we purchased seemed to be the same quality which was a good thing, considering that we were saddened by the price and not providing the dipping oil with herb seasoning. And, obviously we were not the only ones that were questioning what was going on because we overheard others ask the same questions we did. And, we left at 1 PM on a Sunday and there were only 10 tables filled at the restaurant. They may want to rethink their strategy.

                                                                                                          Drinks came out great, husband had a cocktail, I had a glass of wine. We ordered an appetizer Tomato Bruschetta. We asked to see what soups they had. Only had tomato basil, I mentioned what happened to the 3 choices they always had available and also what happened to the Italian seasoning herbs for the olive oil when we dip the bread. She mentioned corporate office has made several changes. They only have one different soup each day and the only thing available for the olive oil to add would be parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes. My husband had the Linguine Di Mare, I had the Italian Chopped Salad with Shrimp. Had NY Style Cheesecake and expresso. I could see 2 to 3 managers walking around, it seems like Corporate is making cuts on customers favorite foods at their restaurant's and for us being seniors, that will make our decision to go elsewhere for Italian food dishes.

                                                                                                          We hadn’t been in years so decided to give it another try. My husband enjoyed his lobster pasta but I needed GF pasta so my options were more limited. We likely won’t be back anytime soon.
