                                                                                                          It’s hard for me to write a negative review of Maggiano’s as we have been eating there on Christmas Eve for many years however, I was just deeply disappointed in our experience (outside of our waitress who was incredibly good!) I’m extending a great measure of grace because I know that understaffing is a huge issue in this day and age. We had an 8 o’clock reservation and in days past the restaurant would be highly busy until 10 PM at least. However, my husband and I work far away and we were running a few minutes late. My son got there early just to ensure that we were coming and they told him they would be locking the door at 8 PM and we would not be allowed to come in. Talk about ruining a Christmas Eve… When he asked them if I could speak to them, they said no, but wanted to know what time we would be arriving. When we told them 8:18 PM, they said as long as it no later they would let us in. So the evening started off a bit off-putting as we felt like we were committing some horrible crime. When I asked about it upon arrival, I was told that they are always closed (or closed early) Christmas Eve and that this wasn’t unusual, but I don’t have the same experience in years of eating there. Even in 2020 when no one was patronizing much we were there. Then when we got our meal it felt like it was scraped together… Our salad was largely onion and there was hardly any lettuce. Our entrées were delicious and we enjoyed the cheesecake, but I have to say it felt so half hearted and we were made to feel like we needed to hurry up and get done so everybody could go home rather than enjoying a leisurely meal on Christmas Eve honoring our tradition of eating Italian food. So I’m afraid that will probably be our last year patronizing at Maggiano’s. I realize a lot of restaurants want to be closed on Christmas Eve but those of us that work on Christmas Eve need a restaurant so that we can enjoy a meal around the table with our families. I’ll be looking elsewhere

                                                                                                          Food was great. 12 of us could've used more room. The entire meal, my chair was being kicked. We were asked & stated we'd have multiple checks when making the reservation. Server refused to separate checks, & he copped attitude when my grandson spilled water 1x, which we all apologized for, but he said nothing when another server accidentally spilled an entire beer into one of our entrées. Server & space made the meal uncomfortable. Bar staff, those who brought & prepared the food, & hostess staff were excellent
