                                                                                                          Only problem was that the food service was rushed. Plates came in rapid succession. We ordered family style. Our waiter was very good considering how busy the restaurant was on this holiday Friday evening. Our group felt rushed. Other than that, good food, worth another visit, but not on a Friday evening.

                                                                                                          We have been going to Maggiano's in Schaumburg for years, and have always felt the food and portions were excellent. But over the past few years the quality has declined and prices have gone up significantly. We had a lunch for 6 people this week and sat for 30 minutes before anyone helped us. No water, no greeting, nothing. We had to go to the host to ask for a waiter to come and help us. When we finally had someone come they just wanted our order for food. When we said we wanted appetizers, they seemed bothered. When we finished eating, we sat for another 20 minutes wanting to box our leftovers and order dessert. Again, no one around to help. We finally gave up and tracked down the waiter and asked for the bill and left. And $32 for a bowl of pasta with sausage? Much better values out there. I think we are done with Maggiano's...

                                                                                                          Okay, I get that having a decent wine list costs money and I appreciate that Maggiano's has a good wine list. The cost of wine by the glass is pretty high and some moderately priced wines would be welcome. Food and service remain excellent.
