                                                                                                          As usual everything was great at Maggiano's. Our server Bonnie was excellent. I had the grilled branzino for the first time. It was pretty good, but as I commented to Ryan (1 of the managers) I thought it could be improved by adding a bit more spice.

                                                                                                           We’ve been coming to this restaurant for quite a long time. I even held a celebration of life for my mom there. We’ve always enjoyed it. The experience of going to Maggiano’s is that each course is served with time to enjoy the food & the company of your guests. This time was very different. Not only is the menu different but we were rushed through dinner. Our entrees came out B4 we finished appetizers. Trying to turn the tables quickly? The calamari, was a favorite, is now 1/2 the size & tough & rubbery. They took eggplant Parmesan off the menu. What Italian restaurant doesn’t have eggplant? There are very few choices without meat. The family style menu would have been great for our party of 8 but there is only one option without meat in any of the courses. The food is mediocre now, not what it used to be. I understand that food costs are up but it’s obvious they’re skimping on things that made Maggianos special. Parmesan from a shaker. Had to ask for balsamic w/olive oil. We were asked 3 x if it was a special occasion. Once on Open Table, once at host stand, & once by our server. Yes, we were there for a birthday. Told them 3 x. This makes you feel like they will do something special. After feeling rushed through dinner, we sat for about 10 minutes B4 the birthday guy left to walk his friends to the parking lot while I waited for the check. I’m thinking, why ask about a special occasion if you’re not going to do anything? Minutes later the server comes over with cookies for the birthday. We had to go get him from the parking lot! The server sets the check between me & my husband but it’s obvious that he was handing it to him. I put *my* card in the check folder & *I* handed it to the server. When he brought it back, he thanked my husband & handed it to him! *My*female name is on the card. *I* handed it to him. How insulting! Should I have said something that I was unhappy w/the entire experience, probably. Didn’t want to upset party. Experience not worth the $$

                                                                                                          Management should be ashamed of themselves. I was told a 20-minute wait. I waited 40 minutes. The managers were there just standing around doing nothing. The tables were not flipped for over 40 minutes. I watched so many tables filled with previous diners’ food just sitting there. The waiters were not clearing fast enough. For the amount of money they lost, the corporate office should be aware of this disaster. On top of that giving away free appetizers even more of a waste of money.

                                                                                                          We really enjoyed our dinner and the service is fine. One minor exception that needs attention, either the bread has changed or it was an off night. It was much too doughy and tasteless. I think it’s an easy fix!

                                                                                                          Took my mother here for her 88th birthday. We had 2 members of our party that were running late, so our server did a great job of sequencing drinks, appetizers and dinner so the latecomers were able to be on hand for most of the dinner. Server had a great attitude despite the restaurant being busier than they expected. As always, loved the food and the extra celebration our server delivered at the end of our meal. Thank-you!
