Portions are a bit smaller and prices are a bit higher (not egregious but noticeable), gone are some of our favorites and the take home pasta offer. Also, they seem to nickel and dime you with everything. We ordered a filet mignon, asked for pasta instead of mashed potatoes and broccoli instead of asparagus. Got charged for extra 2 sides (that's $16 extra for a simple substitution). Our server was friendly, and we had a nice dinner. But for $300 for 5 people before tip, you really could go elsewhere and get a better meal.

                                                                                                          We made this reservation via OpenTable about 5 weeks ago. I confirmed with Maggiano’s directly that it would be 4 of us: me, my two teen daughters, & my 82 year old mom (hence the 4:30 reservation) and that it was our first Christmas without my Dad & to please sit us at a table, no steps, and the closer the better as my mom has MS & uses a cane. All of these accommodations were met- the host staff gets an A+! Our server’s name is Simone and she was FANTASTIC. Very kind, knowledgeable, friendly, & efficient. She also gets an A+. The kitchen / food? That’s where it does way downhill & since we’re talking about a restaurant? That’s a HUGE issue. We all ordered side salads to begin with -chopped side salads. None of them were chopped and 3 of the 4 had so much red onion that even picking it off didn’t help (the 4th salad was a Caesar) My older daughter ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo & enjoyed it very much. My younger daughter ordered the lobster carbonara & proclaimed it delicious. My mom’s shrimp scampi was the opposite: overcooked shrimp & undercooked pasta. My filet (ordered medium) arrived medium well to well. I sent it back & was told “10 minutes” at the 15 minute mark (when my family was all but done eating) a medium rare to rare filet arrived. I sent that back, too, and requested a quick pasta as we needed to leave for church (it’s Christmas Eve) and we just don’t have enough time to wait for a 3rd time at this medium filet. They brought me cheese ravioli and while it was tasty, it was NOT a filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The desserts my girls ordered (while I was waiting for / eating the ravioli) were delivered to a nearby table. The bus staff didn’t refill waters or bread. The food runner auctioned off our food & overall Maggiano’s (formerly of Lettuce Entertain You in Chicago) should know better. Overall it was a “meh” and that is a bummer for a Christmas Eve dinner. Simone, however, is a star and if we go back we will ask for her section.

                                                                                                          They were a bit frazzled as it was a holiday week and lots of large parties. We had a 5 PM reservation for a party of 7. We were finally seated around 5:20. Server was very prompt. Took orders quickly. Forgot one salad but was rectified in due time. Blackened salmon and Veal parm were both good but cheese on veal was barely melted and little sauce and no pasta. Chicken parm did come with pasta and was tasty.

I must admit I was a bit, disappointed that they have decided to take meat sauce and angel hair spaghetti off the menu. Other than that, we had a great time.
