Maie Day is bringing prime time to South Congress Ave every Friday lunch, from 11AM-3PM, or ‘til sold out!* Enjoy a thick slice of famous wagyu prime rib with au jus and horseradish cream for $19, sliced hot & to order by Chef Michael Fojtasek from Maie Day’s premier tableside prime rib cart. Add on creamed kale and mashed potatoes for $8 each for a full plate. Dig in while you jam along to live music by Austin’s own Grateful Dead tribute band, Fennario Flats and save room for a Gimme Burger: the full brunch and bar menu is available to order, too. Our grilled half chicken and steak frites were both excellent and the side of green beans was the best that we have ever had.

We went for my son's 40th birthday and had Sunday brunch. Enjoyed the food and the waiter was very friendly.

Having spent a remarkable amount of time and money to sample multitudes of restaurants, I was excited to check out the latest Michelin star in Austin. First and most important, the food. I was quite disappointed that everything was very average. The cornbread was tasty but extremely dry. Prime rib was claimed to be something they specialized in - it was very ok - nothing special and medium is overdone for prime rib. Green beans were good. Mac and cheese was average. The chicken fried steak was huge but slightly burned and the breading fell off almost completely - definitely the worst portion. The restaurant was so loud it was really hard to enjoy any conversation - ambiance was very disappointing. Service was decent but slow in attentiveness. I would say it’s not worthwhile to venture to.

Love their burger, but I’ve had steak here before and it was great. Service was thorough, from waitstaff to food runners to busboys. Not busy on Sunday evening, so quiet, too. Great spot all around and out of the hustle and bustle of downtown, but so close.

Our dining experience was excellent. Our server in particular was terrific. He was friendly, kind, knowledgable and attentive.
