Maiella, a casually elegant restaurant located in the picturesque waterfront section of Long Island City, serves authentic Italian dishes with a modern flare and the freshest ingredients. Maiella sits at the base of the iconic Pepsi sign in Gantry State Park, and features spectacular city views. Designed by a leading New York City Architecture firm, Bluarch, the rustic space features seating for up to 180 guests inside and almost 100 guests in the outdoor terrace. The terrace faces Manhattan and Gantry State Park with views of the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the 80 foot tall Pepsi Sign. Inquire about our private dining rooms as well as larger parties.

                                                    Menu is very limited, and servers can’t adjust to change the menu. For instance, the vodka sauce is spicy and rigatoni is spicy. I wanted to change to a non-spicy option because I’m allergic, but they wanted me to have Bolognese and I wanted vodka sauce also the service was not as expected they seem to be short staffed

It was my wife's birthday and we don't regret coming here but it was unfortunate that my memo about the birthday got completely ignored. I reminded one of the waitresses and she reassured me that it would be taken care off but nothing happened. Additionally, the waitress that served us did not have a pleasing attitude as she did not care to do anything about it. Other than comments regarding the service from the waitresses, the overall experience was good.

                                                    I had cassarecce, a pasta dish with short rib ragu mixed in, very filling. Partner had veal parm which is his go to all the time. Garlic spinach on the side & we shared an appetizer, calamari. All cooked very well & came out nice & hot. No complaints this visit.
