   We had several very good menu items. Server was Melanie, she was great. Lively ambience. Recommend getting reservations!

   The food was delicious and the service was great! The restaurant was very well decorated. The only downside was the noise level, you basically had to shout to talk to your table. The set up was not done well in that you had to step aside every time you got up to get out of someone’s way, everything was very close together. Other than the noise and the setup of the floor it was a great place to try out.

   A friend and I wanted to try a new restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the pasta, the bread and the kale salad was. Our waitress was the best and we would definitely go back again.

   Food and service was excellent! I like the music and ambiance to play a positive role in the dining experience and in my opinion, it doesn’t here. Dislike the entire section of tables along the wall where everyone is practically sitting together. Red wines: 2 Italian, 7ish from California.

   Some confusion at check in when they did not ‘see’ our reservation we had made thru Open Table but they did seat us then later came by again and commented then a bit later said they finally found it. This was by the manager, not the gentleman who was at the host station later in the evening. Kinda off putting. Our server was very nice. Meatball appetizer was lukewarm when it came out and quickly cooled. The arachinni was perfect. Cesar salad was great as was the bucatini. Cocktails were good along with the alfagatto. Only big disappointment was the bread service - $4 for two slices of country bread cut in half and griddled was a disappointment.

   Very authentic Italian. White bean dip is amazing and the pasta is cooked to perfection. Best authentic Italian we have found in the 918. It’s a busy, boisterous place so not a place to have a quiet conversation but service is good and food is outstanding.

   My friend and I had been excited to try the handmade pasta and beautifully presented appetizers, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. The Arancini tasted freezer-burned and was cold in the middle, likely due to being undercooked. The burrata was decent, but the standout element of that dish was the sourdough from Country Bird Bakery—perfectly baked and flavorful. For our mains, we ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Tagliolini al Burro with butter, Parmesan, chives, and salmon. Sadly, both pastas were disappointing—the Tagliatelle was undercooked, while the Tagliolini was overcooked. The one saving grace was the salmon, which was well-prepared and enjoyable. Overall, the food didn’t justify the price, and we wouldn’t return. While the menu and presentation were promising, the execution just wasn’t there.

    I really enjoyed my experience at Malfi. I started with the Frozen Jungle Bird cocktail. The flavor starts sweet and refreshing, but leaves quite the bitter after taste. Next we got the meatball and arancini appetizers. The meatballs were delicious! The flavor and texture was perfect. The arancini was SO good!! Nice and crispy on the outside, super cheesy and gooey on the inside, and the marinara sauce was a great complement! We then shared the pesto cream pasta and it was fantastic! Super fresh flavors, and perfectly cooked pasta. We had the ricotta lemon cake for dessert and it was also great! My husband and I will definitely be returning. The only complaint is the tables are packed pretty close together and it does get loud!
