   Great as usual. Old school Italian menu. Mamma Mia is truly a Portland treasure. The Pork Ragu special was amazing. Great wine by the glass choices, especially the Barbera. Been too long since our last visit

   The food was cooked perfectly we had the chicken Parmesan which was very delicious. The next dish we had for our entrees were chicken Marsala good portion sized and cooked wonderfully. We had the garlic bread and fried mozzarella would highly recommended both. Service was good the server checked on us, food was brought out in a timely manner.

   The menu on the website was not what was offered in the restaurant. My wife’s scampi were not cooked completely. They even said don’t touch plates as they were very hot…they were room temp at best. We will not be going back.

   Busy Valentine’s Day dinner, the staff was attentive and kept us informed on our order. The food was really good and perfect portions. I would recommend.

   We went to mama mis for Valentine’s Day, and ultimately it was a good experience, but there were some disappointments. The dining area is extremely crowded, they have crammed as many tables as possible in there, which means no space for private conversation for your group. We were very close to the people seated next to us. Our food was just okay. The drinks were great, but both of our entrees were mediocre. I was disappointed to find there was a limited menu for Valentine’s Day. I understand why a wide variety of dishes is difficult to serve on busy days, but I wish we were notified of this when we made our reservation. I would have just booked for the day after. The service was the redeeming point, the waitress was friendly and attentive. They did provide us with extra bread without us requesting it, which was nice.

   I booked a table for one but when I got there was told that they do not seat individuals in the dining room and that I’d have to sit in the bar. I said I’d rather not do that since I was able to book a standard table in the dining room through Open Table. She said I could sit a one of the three small tables in the bar area or the counter, that was my only option. So, I took a two seater table in the bar area and proceeded to sit there for 20 minutes without any acknowledgment from the bartender. Though she walked past me no less than a dozen times. She finally came up to my table and said “are you eating here or just taking up space.” I told her that I obviously wasn’t wanted there and left since they didn’t need my patronage. I then went to much better Italian restaurant a few block away where I received far superior service! This kind of rude and negligent behavior has ensured that I (nor anyone I know) will never dine at Mama Mia again!

   Had a celebratory birthday dinner here. The server was really nice and the food was very good. The only slight downside; it seemed they might have been short handed on wait staff as it took awhile to take and deliver our orders. Would recommend if you aren't in too much of a hurry.

    My sister and I are visiting from VA, we came across this place on yelp. And the menu just spoke to us. The food was super yummy. To me it is the definition of Comfort food. We really enjoyed our meal here!
