   This was the BEST meal I’ve had in a looong time. Our server was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. We had the Elias, tirokafteri, spanakopita, kolokithosalata, oktapodi, laimos arniou and loukoumades me karydia. Everything was delicious but the lamb was outstanding!

   We loved this restaurant. There was great energy in the room, the food was delicious and our waitress was exceptional. The pita with Taramoslata was exquisite; the sable fish was superb, grilled perfectly; and the triple cooked potatoes were yummy! We were visiting from Vancouver, and we will definitely return when we come back to Toronto.

   We celebrated our 6-year anniversary at Mamakas Taverna and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt vibrant yet intimate—perfect for a special occasion. We started with the trio of dips, which were incredibly fresh and full of flavor (the tzatziki was a standout!). The grilled octopus was perfectly tender with just the right char, and the saganaki was rich, melty, and delicious. The croquettes were golden, crispy, and indulgent in the best way. What really made the night special was the thoughtful touch from the staff—they brought over complimentary champagne to help us toast our anniversary. The service was warm and attentive throughout the night, and you could tell they really care about creating a great experience. Highly recommend Mamakas for a romantic night out or any celebration.
