Mamma Lombardi's is a family-owned traditional Italian restaurant. The Lombardi family has been actively serving food in Long Island for over 40 years. This little eatery has built its reputation on incredible Neapolitan recipes and a totally scratch kitchen. Mamma Lombardi's is a natural fit for large groups, as family dining is such a staple of Italian culture. The restaurant even has several private event spaces where diners can celebrate any occasion.Mamma Lombardi's menu is divided between lunch, dinner and the pizzeria. Pizza is such a versatile dish in the hands of the Mamma Lombardi's kitchen staff that it got its own menu with dozens of recipes as well as having a build-your-own option. The main dinner menu contains all of the classic Italian dishes diners could want: spaghetti carbonara, grilled filet mignon, chicken parmesan, chicken bolognese, penne with shrimp and veal milanese just to name a few.

Our 4th time here. Overall, the food is delicious, portions large & family-style, but ambiance old-school, and in need of an update. Servers are wonderful, as is the manager. Weekends are busy, and with a 6:45PM reservation, we waited at least 20-25 minutes. The bar-area was jam packed with people waiting. Since all tables were filled, the food was somewhat slow to hit the table at close to 7:50-8:00PM. We will stick with during the week to visit Mamma Lombardi’s when it’s less crowded.

Our reservation was 6:30 and we got dinner at 8:00 - to say we waited too long is an understatement - I ordered a chopped wedge and got a plate of romaine with no dressing - I had to get up and find a manager, because the waiter couldn't be found, to get salad dressing even for my wrong order I got because we were starving by then - we were given some bread and they were refilling it upon request so we wouldn't "die" waiting for dinners - the grated cheese took six requests to get it and the meal was cool by then; ordered light sauce on my pasta and it was drowning in sauce - the manager Will came over to apologize at the meal's end yet nothing was even reduced from the bill with all these errors - I love the food here but just know it will be about a three hour meal so eat a big snack before going so you won't feel pangs of hunger - the couple we went with left early as they were disgusted with the whole situation and tired - in all a totally unfavorable evening

Everything was wonderful…our waiter was friendly and very attentive…the servers were diligent and attentive….our cocktails were great!! The food was delicious!! Big portions! Espresso and the desserts were a great way to end our meal. Hadn’t been here in many years…will definitely be back sooner than later!!

As always Mamma’s never disappoints. The service was amazing and the food was terrific. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in fantastic Italian food and service !!

The service was excellent. Everyone was very accommodating. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge. We haven’t been there in a while and it’s still a 5 star restaurant
