This was a family gathering to celebrate a milestone birthday. I did indicate this on the reservation, and I wasn't disappointed when the hostess acknowledged this upon my arrival, and we were promptly seated. Our server (Marlin is how it is said, but she didn't tell me how it was spelled) was so very sweet and attentive. She knew the menu well and helped us when we needed some guidance. I took her recommendation on the wine accompaniment, and I was not disappointed. While the food time seemed a little excessive (we didn't even get our appetizer until an hour after we were seated) we enjoyed family time and no one was too upset. I was only a little disappointed that the crab cake appetizer was now basically a one-person dish, it didn't ruin anything for us. The meal was tasty, as expected, with plenty to take home with us. The service really made it for us, though.

Food was delicious. We had the calamari, crab dip, crab cake, oyster Rockefeller, and scallops. Would recommend all of them.

First timers who had a higher expectation for both the food and ambience. There was nothing wrong with our visit, it was just average in every aspect.

The food was some of the best Italian we have had. Our waitress was amazing. Definitely will go again

My husband and I brought our 26 year old son and my 85 year old father in law to Mangiamo’s for their birthdays. We had reservations made through the Open Table app but still had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. We put in an order for an appetizer which came out with not too bad of a wait. We got the crab dip which tasted like it was preheated and old. Our main meal came out later than it should have. Both dishes my husband and I ordered were salted way too much. My husband’s dish; the Veal Saltimbucco, was loaded with salt and the veal was so tough he pushed his plate to the side without finishing it. I ordered the shrimp and grits (polenta) and as said before, entirely too salty!! The other two dishes we were told by our family were both “ok.” We came last year to celebrate these birthdays and the service & food were much, much better. There were hardly any waitstaff there that night and as said before we had to wait to get a table in an empty restaurant. I don’t know if it was an “off” night at Mangiamos’s or what, but please do better! For $160, we expected more. Better food and better service. Last time dining here.

My husband ordered lasagna and it was cold. They sent it back and he took it out but it still was cold. Overall the quality and the taste of the food was delicious. The food was it is warm is it needed to be
