Located within the retail and entertainment complex American Dream and adjacent to Meadowlands Sports Complex, Marcus Live Bar & Grille serves as a culinary centerpiece for visitors and an escape from city life. Led by Chef Marcus Samuelsson and with a menu emblematic of his personal cooking style, Marcus Live features everything from oysters on the half shell and tavern-style pizza to an assortment of steaks and barbecue to a selection of his signature items like Brown Sugar Wings and Old Bay Crab Cakes. We had such a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday at this lovely spot! The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The best part of the night was definitely the delicious food and drinks. My shrimp and grits were bursting with flavor, and the Lychee Martini was the perfect mix of sweetness and smoothness with just the right kick. My family and I can’t wait to come back and enjoy another great meal here!

We booked a Valentine's Day dinner. Both a special pre-fixe and the full regular menu were available. My son has spaghetti (with butter) and he ate the whole bowl. They gave a meatball on the side with sauce and it was excellent. My wife had the pre-fixe with mozzarella salad, lobster and shrimp, and peach cobbler everything was excellent. I was also surprised at the amount of food given. I had the fried calamari, chicken and waffles, onion rings, and sorbet. Everything was perfect. Brought half of the chicken and waffle home because of the amount of food. If I ever came back, I would get it again. It was really good. Our waitress seemed new. It took her a while for everything and she didn't check on drink refills. Bottom line is that the food is very tasty. Everything was well seasoned. The portions were plentiful. Atmosphere was fun and vibrant. Prices were a little high- more like a restaurant in NYC versus a mall. I would definitely come back here again.

I have never had a meal at a Marcus Samuelsson restaurant that was not outstanding and this continued that experience. In the middle of a mall, we had an outstanding meal and wonderful service.

Stopped in to satisfy my craving for their brown sugar wings and cornbread. Absolutely wonderful. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Will be back soon.

I really enjoyed the food and my cocktail! I had the fried chicken and cornbread waffle. The pretty in pink cocktail was very tasty as well!

The service was very good. Our appetizers were ok but the calamari dish needs to have more calamari and fewer peppers. As for the entrees, my wife said her shrimp and grits lacked flavor, she hardly ate any of it. I enjoyed my chicken and waffles. The raspberry cheesecake brûlée looked like imitation yogurt was the main ingredient. You’re better off going to Marcus’ higher end restaurants such as Red Rooster.

It took 30 minutes for the waitress to first take our order. My drink arrived almost at the end of the meal and after 3 requests to bring it. Various waiters brought food to all patrons and didn't know to which table the orders belonged. Very disorganized service. The food was very underwhelming considering the world class chef associates with the restaurant. Very disappointing experience.

Food just not as expected from a respected chef. It was ok. Noise was super loud with the band playing next door - we had to scream to hold a conversation. Small menu and dishes.
