Margaret is a neighbourhood restaurant at its core, but it’s also evolved into something more than that. It’s about comfort, generosity, and cosiness.
At Margaret, we work with the best quality produce that Australia has to offer. Chef Neil Perry AM has spent years developing relationships with some of the best suppliers in the country. We are predominantly a seafood restaurant and are very fortunate to receive our seafood direct from our fishermen, caught sustainably and dry filleted here onsite at Margaret, so we can ensure that all that love and care our wonderful fisherman have taken is seen all the way through. As always, service was impeccable and food was amazing. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff were fantastic in making the birthday girl feel special - right down to a hand-written note from Neil. Margaret continues to be flawless - and the experience unsurpassed - they deserve all the accolades they receive - no other restaurant comes close to executing the perfect evening.

Staff were welcoming and efficient Staff were knowlegable about specials etc and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Food was very fresh and enjoyable.

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience at Margaret. The service was prompt but not rushed, attentive not pushy, the staff were all friendly. The food was beautifully presented and prepared precisely. Portions were just right. We will definitely be back

We had a wonderful experience at Margaret for lunch. We were visiting from interstate and Margaret had been recommended to us. It did not disappoint! The food, wine, ambience and service were all amazing. The fig and walnut soufflé pudding was divine. Would definitely recommend and come back again. Thank you!

it was our 1st visit to Margaret & we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent with all smilinng cheery faces. Table service was attentive without being overbearing. Food was excellent. We had a wonderful experience.

A wonderful dining experience with close friends. The wait staff were gracious, friendly and helpful. The 4 fish meals we had were outstanding in flavours, presentation and portions. The only complaint would be the exhorbitant wine prices, considering Australia produces excellent wine at affordable prices. Also, the delicious cocktails were served in tiny glasses. A slightly bigger glass would be appreciated. However, the food is worth a return. 🤗
