I ordered the chef’s menu special Mahi Mahi which was served in a lemon caper sauce & topped with 2 broiled scallops. It was by far, the best prepared fish I ever eaten. My husband shrimp & scallop pasta dish in white wine & garlic sauce, which he said was excellent. Our server executed excellent service as well. A wonderful in a beautiful setting.

The food was overall great. The crab bisque was amazing. Filet Oscar was one of the best we’ve ever had and was loaded with crab meat. The Grouper Oscar was bland… it probably would’ve been better if the grouper had been blackened. We ordered a bottle of wine, waitress came back 15 minutes later and said they didn’t have that bottle. Tried for a different bottle, again… didn’t have that one in stock. I guess third time is the charm but it took over 30 minutes from the time we originally ordered a bottle of wine to actually get a bottle. Our waitress left room for improvement. She needed help from us at the table to uncork a bottle of wine. She didn’t seem familiar with the menu and had no suggestions on menu options. The ambiance is beautiful and overall the food was great, so we will return again on our next visit to Sarasota.

Beautiful view of bay! Service was superior. All the martini drinks were some of the best we have had.

While in Sarasota for a week to escape the frigid weather in the Catskillls, my husband and I heard about the restaurant and decided to have dinner there on Saturday night. We went early (5:30) as there were no reservations open until 8:00 on open table. The service was amazing. Very attentive throughout our meal. We started with a Caesar salad that had just the right amount of dressing which was delicious. My entree was the Red Snapper in curry sauce with jasmine rice and spinach. The pice of fish was very generous and the sauce was outstanding. It was moist and yummy. My hubby loved the Seafood Fra Diavolo, and said it was one of the best Diavolo sauce he ever had. We skipped coffee and dessert as we were very content. Our cocktails were perfect. If we come back to Sarasota again, which I am sure we will, Marina Jack will definitely be our choice for a delicious and enjoyable dinner!!
