MariPili is a James Beard nominated Galician themed tapas bar providing a casual environment for elevated Spanish bar food and homestyle cooking. MariPili is named for chef's aunt and the bar and walls are adorned with Galician art and keepsakes. Estrella Galicia is served on tap and there are a wide variety of tapas options like the pan seared lingcod 'Bacallau a Mariñera' and Spanish classic 'Croquettas de Jamon' as well as our seasonal tasting menu Tapear Tapearei which includes many bite sized courses reflecting a more traditional tapas experience. Honoring the chef's blended heritage, the wine list features a selection from Spain and Washington exclusively.

We had the tasting menu with paired wines. Amazing! Each set of bites was beautiful and complex. The courses were paced well and we never felt rushed. I can’t wait to return.

Food was out of this world delicious and came out quickly, the ambiance was very cozy and intimate, and overall had a great time.

It was alright, nothing out of the ordinary. Paella was tasty but little bit on the oily side. Octopus had weird warm and cold wet sides all at the same time.

We enjoyed dining at MariPili a lot! Everything was so good. The place, the atmosphere, and the food, of course, were interesting, inspiring, and high quality, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Incredible meal! The patatas bravas were the best I’ve ever had and the croquettes melted in your mouth. Everything we had was delicious and I wish I lived close enough to come back for more! The service was also warm and helpful and the ambiance set up for a great night out.

I had high expectations of food but it was not. I always compare tapa food to now gone toro bravo at Portland. Specially pallela, it was such a let down. Tasting menu was ok. Some wa good some was not. Little bit noise for my liking.

I wish I was a big enough eater to experience the tasting menu. My dining partner and I chose three small plates and a dessert and left satisfied. We enjoyed interacting with the bartenders and appreciated their skilled crafting.

My daughter and I had reservations for 2100 Thursday night and from the time we walked in to when we left the entire experience was amazing. We were anxious to try the Tapear Tapearei menu and had an incredible dining experience. Every dish was delicious and beautifully plated from start to finish. Since neither of us are big alcohol drinkers we were allowed to split the wine flight pairings without having too much but could experience the flavor pairings which enhanced the experience. An extra star for our servers Stacy and a man that sadly I didn't catch his name. The explanation of the dishes and the anecdotes about the dishes was an added enhancement. Highly recommended.
