MariPili is a James Beard nominated Galician themed tapas bar providing a casual environment for elevated Spanish bar food and homestyle cooking. MariPili is named for chef's aunt and the bar and walls are adorned with Galician art and keepsakes. Estrella Galicia is served on tap and there are a wide variety of tapas options like the pan seared lingcod 'Bacallau a Mariñera' and Spanish classic 'Croquettas de Jamon' as well as our seasonal tasting menu Tapear Tapearei which includes many bite sized courses reflecting a more traditional tapas experience. Honoring the chef's blended heritage, the wine list features a selection from Spain and Washington exclusively.

I wish I was a big enough eater to experience the tasting menu. My dining partner and I chose three small plates and a dessert and left satisfied. We enjoyed interacting with the bartenders and appreciated their skilled crafting.

My daughter and I had reservations for 2100 Thursday night and from the time we walked in to when we left the entire experience was amazing. We were anxious to try the Tapear Tapearei menu and had an incredible dining experience. Every dish was delicious and beautifully plated from start to finish. Since neither of us are big alcohol drinkers we were allowed to split the wine flight pairings without having too much but could experience the flavor pairings which enhanced the experience. An extra star for our servers Stacy and a man that sadly I didn't catch his name. The explanation of the dishes and the anecdotes about the dishes was an added enhancement. Highly recommended.

Absolutely excellent experience. The restaurant week menu was incredible, we even ended up ordering more dishes! The plating was so unique with homemade pottery dishes. Will be going back!!!

The best meal we've had in Seattle in 5 years. I never thought I'd be writing about sea urchin flan, but live and learn. We did the tasting menu and it was INCREDIBLE. What a gem of a restaurant. We're already planning our return.

Amazing meal. Everything was great, but the broccoli, eggplant cannelloni, and chocolate bread pudding were just amazing. We'll be back.

We had a party of four who all left delighted with the food and experience we shared. We sat at the bar and had the added pleasure of being able to see the plethora of delightful looking mixed drinks and wines that were available. We had the five course menu designed for restaurant week and it was great. The food was inventive, delicious and colorful. A delight for all your senses. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves tapas but especially those who treasure Galician cooking.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a dear friend's birthday. The restaurant is atmosphere is lovely and perfect for a cozy get together with friends. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our party loved all of the chosen dishes, especially the seafood and the chocolate desert. As a vegetarian there are several options that were very good ( how simple potatoes can be so good is impressive, I could have just eaten them and been happy). I did find a few items be a little over dresses or strongly seasoned for my taste, this was fine because it's designed to be shareable so the fact that many of the vegetarian items were rich or seasoned strongly didn't detract but it would stop me from eating more than one portion. Overall I highly recommend MariPili Tapas.

To sum up a big failure in the cooking. Poorly seasoned, sand in the octopus and tasteless vegs. The host was kind enough to take two dishes off the check and to be honest we got tired of critiquing the food and made due with most of the dishes. There were some winners though with excellent flavor one savory “ frenchtoast” with cheese sauce and mushrooms and lamb chops with a plumb relish.overall the host and waitstaff were attentive and professional now they need to do a better job with what is going on in their kitchen.
