   Came for the quiz but it was cancelled. 2 and 3 course meals quite good value. Food was standard pub fare, some things better than others. We were seated in the dining room with a loud group and it was hard to heard each other speak

   Superb staff. Really care what you think about the food. Lovely genuine smiley service. Great food. Proper venison pie with crust all round !

   The staff were doing their best but the placed was understaffed and the food was like warm and mediocre

   The restaurant was not open at booked hour. Disappointing that reservations were open nonetheless and we did not get notified.

   The starter and main food was good. The wrong drinks were bought out twice and the wrong desserts. In the end we received one dessert of 3 and had to cancel the other 2. The service seemed fraught and disorganised. I would return as the good wad good but the service needs to improve and be more customer-centric.
