We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday there and had a wonderful time. Our server, Michael, provided excellent service and was attentive to a gluten allergy. They had a sweet little sign on the table for her birthday and tasteful glitter. All the food was excellent!

Had dinner here, one of many italian restaurants on Federal Hill. Overall disappointed in the experience. The food is good, but it failed on most other levels. We had a reservation for dinner. When we arrived we were offered a terrible table, immediated next to another larger party (inches apart) and just outside the kitchen door, which banged loudly every few seconds as people when in and out. There were other nicer tables that were empty, but when we asked about them, we were told that they were reserved for others (I thought we had a reservation also, but was told it only applied to that one table). We also learned that they ony allowed exactly 1.5 hours for parties of 2 and we would have to be out by that time. Worst, the Maitre-D and then the Manager, who was called, were both inflexible, unconcerned and frankly rude. They were happy to have us leave without dining rather than seat us anywhere else in the large restaurant with several empty tables. Finally, as a last resort, we were offered a high-top in the bar, which we accepted. It is not a particularly nice table, but then the regular dining area is crowded and somewhat shabby anyway. The hightop is by itself in a cluttered corner next to a serving station, the only high-top in the bar area. The bartender who waited on us was nice, but became less attentive as the bar filled up. Eventually, barroom became so crowded that people were standing right behind me and actually bumping into me while I ate. Bottom line, we will not be dining here again. I might order take-out, the food is good, although expensive, but why patronize a restaurant that doesn't care about the experience or comfort of its patrons.

Place was fabulous! They have an entire gluten free menu in addition to their regular dinner menu! Food was delicious. FREE valet parking!!

Massimo’s is always amazing. They have a gigantic gluten free menu that is a huge plus for people that love Italian food and usually can’t have it. This place is a staple in Providence!

The waitress was great, but the one in charge of clearing plates was very quick in wanting to take plates away while we were still enjoying food The Mediterranean Sea. Bass was great Chicken parm - fair. It was incredibly loud!
