A twenty three year veteran of South Norwalk’s dining scene, Match has earned its reputation as one of the state’s most consistent and award-winning restaurants with its global approach to New American cuisine led by chef/owner Matt Storch. Love dining at Match! Food is consistently great! Menu is thoughtful and dishes are beautifully presented and delicious! Their service is great and last night we were lucky enough to have Peter as our server again. Can’t recommend this highly enough for New American Cuisine!

Such a shame. Once seated, our server and dinner were very good. Unfortunately, the maitre d was so rude to us, it spoiled the experience. I will never go back.

Food was good but we were not happy with the service. We felt rushed and were told we had to order dessert with our meal. We said no and then were offered the option at the end of the meal anyway.

Have been there many, many times and the experience never gets old. It's one of the very few places that we keep going back to. While we enjoy trying new places and experiences, when we want a fantastic meal, great drinks (Jimmy makes the best margaritas), and friendly faces, it's really hard to...um...Match. As a foodie, I really appreciate fresh ingredients where the dishes allow the food to stand out without egregious sauces or overpowered spices. They are always flavorful without being overbearing or masking the dish you are ultimately paying for. I don't want swordfish with my sauces or thick, chewy pizzas. I don't want steak that is seasoned to mask the fact that it has been stuck in the fridge for several days. Match hits the mark every time. Octopus that is lightly seasoned, tender and perfectly grilled. Salads with fragrant greens and light dressing that add dimension, but aren't pronounced. And the steak for 2 was absolutely killer -- again. Highly, highly recommended. See you there.
