   Food and service were good - as usual. It was a less busy time (earlier Thursday), so we got a good amount of service and timely attention.

   I’ve enjoyed going to matchbox for years. I took my children for brunch. I went during opening hour. It was great service. Everything was clean. The food was delicious.

   Food was amazing and waiter was very pleasant and helpful the whole time ! The strawberry rose margarita is toooooo gooooood! But the sliders… listen the sliders!!! Iiterally the best thing to ever touch my tongue . Flavorful and with the perfect amount of onion straws to complement the burgers

   This was my second time there. It’s the same ambiance as in the night time service. I still stumbled off the divider just like at the last time I was there. The 2 orders of pizza bread were delicious with the cheese pepper flakes & seasoning. The pear /apple salad with pecans delicious, chicken Alfredo, Caesar Salad, the margaritas were good at the splash of Whatever was in them had me a little off guard.(tipsy) the half of fried chicken , asparagus, and the mashed potatoes were absolutely Divine. With the bill coming up to $105 and some change it was worth the cost. The staff made it a thumbs up for me which means we will be coming back.

   I was disappointed when they said no brunch buffet and the wings (old bay) where soggy and nasty; however, the server was great young African American gentleman with dreds.

   I requested a booth and a birthday candle for my nephew in my reservation and then again over the phone the same day and neither were done until they tried to seat us at a table and serve a dessert without a candle when I had to ask again.

   excellent customer service and quality fresh food. We were not notified by the receptionist about ongoing construction work near the seating area. Quite loud cutting and metal hammering all throughout our meal. No manager approached any patrons to apologize for the inconvenience, or when it's expected to be finalized. No effort to offer seats in a less noisy area.

   Our waiter, the U booth by the bar/bathrooms, while a nice person, rarely came by our table. After our last guests joined us, he took over 20min to come back to ask about apps or bread. Then another 20min before asking about entrees. He forgot waters and coffee orders. And then never came back to offer the check, we had to go find him and then hand deliver the check back to him.

   Matchbox Rockville Arrived 11:58am for 12:00pm reservation. Walked into the establishment and was greeted by the hostess and a wafting smokiness?! The hostess asked to give her a minute and she would seat us. We were seated at the bar side in the first booth upon entering that side of the restaurant. Once seated - the waiter came to the table greeted us and asked if we’d like anything to drink and do we know what we’d like to order or do we need a few moments to view the menu. I said I wanted the Mexican Street Corn. He stated that the he had to check if that’s possible since the grill is not working & that’s the reason for all the smoke inside. The exhaust fan was fixed last week & is broken again. He gave us waters and peach nectar and pineapple nectar. He checked with the kitchen and informed us that No Food that is prepared “Grill Side” can be ordered?! Not even the BBQ Ribs, Grilled Chicken and so forth! Hubby ordered the Shrimp and Grits - I ordered the Fish and Chips. Everything came out fast and the server and bartender were prompt on water refills. As we began the meal I noticed that the fried fish (cod) was only battered and fried … Absolutely No Seasoning!! I asked hubby to taste it, just to make sure it wasn’t my palate. The Shrimp and Grits rated around a 3.1 out of 5. Our server came over to check on us and I told him that the fish had no seasoning on it or in the batter. He took it back and notified the chef. I ordered the crab cake with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The presentation was lovely, but the dish rates around a 2.5 out of 5. Reason = No seasoning within the crab cake. Asparagus were good and potatoes were okay. The bartender came over to address if this dish was better than the fish. I said it’s okay but could be better. He said he’ll get the manager. 1:15pm - Manager Nicholas came to the table to discuss the second meal (Comped the 2 dinners) and gave $30 to use on next return. He stated that since he’s from Baltimore he knows what

    I got the Bianca pizza and it was so good and refreshing. Definitely also recommend the fried Mac and cheese as an appetizer
