We are your preferred "Bring Your Own Bottle" BYOB destination for special occasions, milestones, small corporate parties and get togethers. Chef Greg's acclaimed, seasonal four-course Prix-Fixe Menu is offered Wednesday through Sunday evenings. Our garden patio awaits you for a delightful outdoor dining experience. Matisse's elegant main dining room is adorned with Matisse silhouettes and bejeweled chandeliers, and our front dining room displays a Moroccan themed decor. Our team looks forward to providing you and your guests with excellent cuisine, great service, and a special evening to remember!

Alright, buckle up, because I’m about to spill the beans on Matisse 167 in East Rutherford. This isn’t just dining—it’s a full-blown gourmet experience that hits you in the taste buds like a symphony of flavors orchestrated by food gods. From the moment we sat down, the staff was next-level exceptional, anticipating every need like they had a crystal ball. Keith, our server, was the MVP, making sure everything was flawless. Seriously, this guy must moonlight as a mind reader or something. And then there’s Greg—the chef. Oh man, this dude’s not just a chef; he’s an artist with a side of wizardry. He came out into the dining room, checking on everyone like a culinary superhero. By the time we finished our four-course Michelin-star-level meal, all I wanted to do was shake this guy’s hand and thank him for putting together a dining experience that went way beyond anything I could’ve dreamed up. Every bite was like winning the flavor lottery. Pro tip: it’s BYOB, so grab a bottle (or three) of your favorite wine and prepare to have your culinary socks knocked off. We had a lovely evening at Matisse. We felt welcomed from the moment we stepped inside. The space is charming and the outdoor garden area very charming. The menu was wonderful with 3 different choices for each course. Something for everything and it was all amazing! It's also nice to bring our own wines. Highly recommend eating here!

Excellent meal at Matisse. The new chef changed up the menu a bit and it was an unbelievable meal. Can’t wait to go back again soon. Ty to the entire staff for a lovely experience.
