   They didn’t give us our reserved table and let us sit down at all till people left in the back of the restaurant and had to seat ourselves. I understand if you don’t take reservation on st Patrick’s day but you could let the people who reserve a table know before they show up and get told and have no other reservation anywhere else.

   This place keeps getting worse and worse every time I go with friends. Mainly when we go for food. There is never enough wait staff. I understand it was St Patty's day and we knew it would be busy and we would have to wait, but I'm pretty sure I counted 2 servers. The guy who brought us our food (burnt nachos) said he didn't even work there, and our server was just absolutely miserable and we are always a very nice group. I think that was our last time going.

   I made the reservation and confirmed the reservation (lunch). Arrived to find the restaurant closed. It didn’t open until 4. We scramble to find another restaurant for our business meeting (5 people coming from various locations) I am not sure if this was an Open Table Error or a McCanes error but since I reserved 2 weeks in advance and received a confirmation request the day prior. One should have caught the error. The 1* is for the mix up not the actual rating, because we never ate there.

   We enjoyed the half price Fish & Chips and my Guinness was perfect. Fish were very crispy and good sizes. The restaurant looks authentic Irish but no dideley dee music but lots of sports TVs. Only down thing was no parking unless you want to pay at the lots around the corner.

   The food was good, the service was great and the atmosphere wasn’t too loud. I’ll like to go back and try more of the food menu

   I don’t recall our server’s name, but she had purple streaks in her hair…she was fantastic!! 5 stars

   My wife and I both had the fish and chips and it was very good. The price was really good also. It was a good sized piece of fish and just the right amount of fries to go with it.

   Service was way way too slow and no it wasn’t busy!!! Maybe 4 tables at most!! Salmon dinner was just terrible. Jasmine rice are suppose to be soft and chewy!! Rice we got was so so dry as if they were stored open in the fridge and directly served so we sent that back. Our visit was very very disappointing.

    Our visit to McCabe's pub was fantastic! We were visiting with friends and we were able to have a lovely conversation because the noise level was low. The gluten free options from the menu was accommodating and I really enjoyed the Reuban sandwich. Our waiter was very friendly and checked in on us the right amount of times. We were able to enjoy our meal without be constantly interrupted by the wait staff checking in to see if we were doing alright. I understand that some restaurants have that, but I find it takes away from the meal. Our waiter was very respectful, friendly, humourous, amd energetic and helped make our experience for dinner very pleasant. The location of the restaurant was also very convenient.
