Meander embodies relaxed indulgence. Be prepared to enjoy your multi-course meal carefully and thoughtfully crafted by Executive Chef Dan Gullickson, who designs the tasting menu each evening. Courses range from five to 12, depending on fresh ingredients available from on onsite greenhouse, the season, and any themes we may be highlighting (such as Chinese New Year or St. Patrick's Day).

Our bar is finely curated to offer mid- to top-shelf spirits, with an curated wine and beer list. All mixes, salts, and syrups for cocktails and mocktails are made in house and augmented with fresh ingredients.

The dining room seats 18 people, so each person's experience is personal, private, and delightful. We only offer one seating in the evening at 6:00. Bar opens at 5:00. Meander is the onsite restaurant for Shortgrass Resort, built by Cappie, Alex (Sprout), and Rachel, as seen on Building Outside the Lines on the Magnolia Network and streaming on Max.

Quiet and peaceful setting, great views of the country and northern hills from every table. The courses were delicious and created with care. I would recommend to family and friends as well as corporate retreats.

Absolutely adored our experience with Meander! It was a very special dinner for us as we were celebrating loads of milestones and things my husband missed on his first deployment. Candace filled in staff so it almost felt like a bunch of friends helping us celebrate and it was so wonderful. The St. Patrick’s day menu was INCREDIBLE. We sat down fully expecting that maybe one or two things we wouldn’t really vibe with but all of the courses were great. The local connection with food from the green house out back just makes it that much more exciting and worth the money. Knowing where our food comes from is an important thing to us! The ambience is what really sets things apart the view of the hills, the beautiful decor, the handmade mosaics on the walls. Those things really draw it all together. I will 100% be back again next time we want to celebrate! Thank you again Shortgrass staff for helping us come together after such a season of seperation. 🫶🏻

From our welcome at the door by Alex, our visit to Meander exceeded all expectations. His craft cocktails were exquisite! Every course was delivered and described by Dan, and were all exceptional. Can’t wait to return.

Valentine's Day dinner - chef prepared meal with over 7 courses. Each course was fantastic and the wine paring was phenomenal. We have not had a finer meal in area. Not a cheap dinner but worth every penny!

It was an amazing experience. The food was amazing, was intimate, and elegant. Was the perfect valentine date night!!

My wife and I had a Valentine’s Day dinner there. We are “foodies”. 7 courses, from appetizers to dessert. The entire meal was special and worth every penny and more. Very highly recommend.

My husband and I ate at Meanders restaurant Friday night. Chef Dan cooked amazing dinner. The food was amazing, I was able to enjoy the smells, the texture, and the visual platting of the food. Each dish tasted wonderful as I rolled it around in my mouth. We will come back again.
